I'm going to preface this right up front by saying "If you have no interest in listening to me complain about World of Warcraft, read no further."

While I don't have any first-hand knowledge of WoW, I do know the feeling of having to go, "What's the point in that?" Especially when it's dealing with taking a mediocre-to-good class and pulling it down to being mediocre-at-best class. I've had to deal with those sort of changes in a game I used to play a few years ago.

Don't worry - the real casual raiders aren't going anywhere far! Imagine wiping repatedly on Attumen, imagine a priest main healer who just can't seem to get heals off and has a chronic shackling problem... Imagine warlocks out-dps'ed by tanks, warriors with randomly-distributed talents points and whatever gear looks prettiest, hunters who keyboard turn, a shammy who can't do anything at all except talk a lot... And you have the guild I'm in. Mostly perfectly nice people who are goddawful players. We kinda had fun in ZG because there the suck:ok ratio wasn't as bad as in a 10-man and it wasn't immediately obvious who sucked really badly, but Kara hurts. So don't worry - you leet guys will still be ahead and we (and many other casual guilds) will probably never make it through Kara. I also hate Blizzard for the attunement - I'm now known for being able to get any group through Black Morass, that is not a good thing if your average guildmate sucks. Pallies rocked and I'm sad to see them nerfed - stupid priests whined like little ( ... )

I dislike anyone complaining about how much better another class is - I was equally annoyed at other warriors who complained about druids being able to tank. What I also saw was that the worse a priest was at healing, the more than whined. The really good priests just carried on and rocked at what they do, and the shammy and druid healers really stepped up very nicely (I know several who respecced because of the healer shortage) and filled in for the holy priests. I guess I'm just intolerant of whiny ppl in general.

As for my guild - the priest already has the shackle macro, I'll tell him about getting some +spellhit gear, thanks! I am trying to help out the others - I try to find people who rock at their particular class that are willing to answer questions and that they can look at on armory. I also run instances with them, they often only want to run ones that are really easy so I try to add some difficulty (no symbols, a clothie pulls, we don't stop for breaks, totally silent, etc) so they learn to think on their feet a bit.

hmmm, whatta, who? uberlang April 16 2007, 20:15:24 UTC

My guild consists of me and like 5 other people who haven't been on in over a month. So, I can pretty much say that my guild sucks worse than any of yours. Plus I haven't gotten a char above 40, so I have no idea what's going on. however, I like my shammy as a healer, I can sit in the back and wave at the bad guys ( I've stopped doing rude gestures, it pulls lots of aggro ). And my hunter gets to sit in the back too, while I keep healing my pet. They seem to be very similar now that I think about it, once I get elemental summoning totems, they'll be exactly the same.
