OMG GREASE!

Sep 21, 2006 11:51

This is entirely schmoo999's fault. She got me all with the Grease fever and now I spent all morning making Grease icons.

Please feel free to take whatever you want, I'm not in the least bit precious. A right sad bastard, yes, but not precious.

Grease is the word! )

grease, icons

Glad you like them anyway babe. HURRAH! There were like a million more I wanted to make but I had to stop myself or I'd never have stopped.

I don't know what has been up with LJ lately. I have been having the same problem too.

lol...well you can always make more if you need a break from real life or are bored though I imagine you aren't really bored right now:)

Well, I've just decided I need one of John Travolta looking lovely with 'Hopelessly Devoted' on it. I'm just never going to stop, I don't think.

I'm all nostalgic too, it's made me start talking in quotes all day *sigh*

My best friend and I were grease-obsessed at school. We used to recite the entire script for fun. And we wondered why we were bullied... *headdesk*

Oh bless you! My music class at high school went to see it when it came out and got cheaper tickets because our music teacher also had a job at the cinema!!
I still love it and can still remember ALL the words!!

Me too! I have to confess - all the captions I put on those pictures were from memory because I can look at any scene and quote chunks of the script at you *g* I'm such a total nerd. I cheated a bit because I used the 'Peachy Keen Jelly Bean' quote by the picture of Rizzo from There Are Worse Things I could Do, when actually she said that at the cafeteria but it seemed to ironically fit the expression on her face so I won't tell if you don't. (I did warn you I was a nerd, didn't I? *snerk*)

Stockard Channing was brilliant in that film. I love Grease.

She so was. Looking back at it now I wonder how on earth I was ever convinced that any of them were actually teenagers - Stockard Channing looked like the most beat-up teenager ever and Olivis Newton John was probably older than my mother, but somehow it never even crossed my mind that they weren't teenagers.

And John Travolta... I'd still do him even though he's turned into a bit of a wanker. I should have made a hopelessly devoted icon. *dreamy teenager sigh*

Yes, just checked IMDB, and Travolta was 24, ONJ was 30 and Stockard Channing was 33. But you're right - I thought they were teenagers too, which is ironic considering I was just 2 years younger than they were supposed to be and I looked NOTHING like any of them.

My god, I'm 33! I always thought ONJ was the oldest, I hadn't realised Stockard Channing was even older. Bloody hell. I don't quite think I'd get away with playing a teenager quite so convincingly *snerk*

'Lo =D

Hope you don't mind that I've friended you, but I've just spent all night reading your Sirius/Hermione offerings, and can't adequately convey how excellent I think they are.

Cheers!

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed them, though I have to say I'm afraid you came to my f-list at the wrong time if you want more! I'm currently like eight months pregnant and I'm barely online and can't write for toffee! Feel free to stick around though if you like, I might get my groove back at some point. Thanks again for your lovely comment :)

When I saw that you hadn't updated since the 21st of September, I figured something like that might be the case. 'S better to wait around for updates to come to me than to actively check them (because I am a lazy sod). Hope all's well with everything =o)
