My computer, OTOH, is very dead - BUT I HAVE A NEW ONE! ::does a dance of joy and jubilation:: I took the plunge and ordered a new system and got it all set up successfully, including a 19" LCD monitor which deserves a litle joyful dance of its own. The only problem is my internet connection - basically, I don't have one, and haven't been able to

And Number One being so leaderly - "Fall back and regroup" - with his uncooperative and argumentative siblings. It's lovely character stuff, and very neatly done. Yay Gerard! And yay TENTACLES! I didn't spot it at first and asked myself whether The Seance was holding it with his own toes. *headdesk* My only excuse is that I'm not used to reading comics and some of the visual high jinks take a little while to register. I only wish we could fix ourselves as easily. I have ME/CFS too - I don't know if you knew that - and often wish for a performance-enhancing upgrade!

Yes, it would be nice to get an upgrade. Every time I see a Cylon download, I have to admit I'm a little envious....
It's kind of nice not to be sitting around twiddling my thimbs every few minutes while the computer battles with some monumental task like, um, opening a file or refreshing my flist. *g*
Oh GOD!! That drove me mental. I seriously got OOS from the tension and rage. I almost threw my computer out the window several times. Grrr!!!
I don't know if you know what OOS is, it's called different things in different countries and I've forgotten where you're from. There's that awesome memory of mine at work again. Anyway OOS is Occupational Overuse Syndrome, i.e. sore arms from using a computer too long. I didn't use it too long, I just used it with constant suppressed rage.

And I may not have said anything about the ME since friending you. I have a bit of an ostrich thing going sometimes - if I can't see it, it's not there. And then hermit-ing when it catches up with me - as it invariably does. Gah! I do admire your attitude - facing it head-on and fighting it with everything you've got. ::cheers you on::

Oh, what a familiar feeling! Yay for co-operative biddable computers. *g*
