Review: Daughter of the Forest

So, a book review, which I don't do very often, but I've got a lot to say about this one, especially as some of my reactions to it have kickstarted my muse in unexpected ways. Fraid I can't give you arguments or counterarguments, but I do love that fairytale in all its incarnations. Well, all traditional fairytale incarnations anyway.

And... That's all the uselessness I am today. ^-~ *waves*

I never said I didn't like other interpretations (*points to Becca's interpretations as example*). For one, I haven't read any others and for another I try to form opinions on things based on their own merit not because of a generalisation.

*nods* That's why I felt like I was being a bit unfair. I liked the book, and I did love the brothers. I just didn't feel that she used her source material to its full potential, which really disappointed me. It was a sweet, entertaining read, but for me it lacked depth.

Ah, that sounds better. I might see if I can hunt it down.
