Ach! Now I remember what I've confused this with. Wallflower and Juniper, that's the Nimbus and Aylili story you'd not finished. *facepalms* I feel utterly silly now.

What did he think he had been doing for the last six months? <- *giggle* Touché. But still... It's easy to see Nimbus' side of it as well, poor thing.

She wanted to hate him[,] but when she looked at him all she could see was an old man with tired eyes. <- *sniffles some more* Aylili is a wonderful character, she really is.

The wind must have gusted as she leapt for she was carried further than she expected and stumbled on landing. <- I love how you've woven the wings in there and she's just not noticing them yet. That's wonderful.

She didn’t see how he could have known[,] but she had learnt not to make assumptions. <- Daft creature. ^-^ That's so lovely, though, when she can finally fly. The fever and the pain was ( ... )

Ah. That would make sense, as W&J follows on quite closely.

Aylili might not say much, but she's got a lovely sarcastic train of thought.

She also sees things with a certain clarity. She's almost, but not quite, an outsider in this society.

*grins* Unrealistic for a fledging, but fun.

I think it should have been 'had managed to get'

I wanted to make a point of how rough her voice would be.

Nimbus is trying to teach her how to face danger in style ^_^

It had to end with healing, after all that.

Thank you so much for rereading this and commenting. I'm sorry to be so slow replying.
