Don't feel bad about not mourning his death. And as you said, you may at some point. I have a feeling when my dad goes, I'll be relieved, if not downright happy. It makes me feel like a terrible person, but I feel the world is just better off without people like that in it (I hope that doesn't offend you. It's not meant to). I am sure there was good to him, too. Were you close with him? I am sorry for your loss.
You didn't offend me at all, darling. I know what you mean. There was good to him as well, though those memories of him were so long ago that the new things I know about him have become much more significant to the point of overshadowing the good. I used to visit often when I was little, but as things were unstable between him and my dad for the last ten or so years, we became a lot more distant. I appreciate the condolences, so thank you. <3
