Im watching the news and the bombs flying in Lebanon... and seeing the real terror it is instilling here in Benin. My friends have their family, including their infant children living in Lebanon. Imagine watching the bombs on TV not knowing if one is going to land on your baby child. It makes me sick.

Im in the midst of finals. It is an interesting experience- being the one evaluating and not performing. Overall, I believe if every class was an exam the students may actually learn how to speak English ( Read more... )

Its the end of the week and almost the end of the month and I am so greatful for this reality. Life is good. . . and hot. Supposedly I should have a date this weekend... or maybe even a few of them. I have no work at the moment but I am busy a lot of the time. Im looking forward to leaving on vacation. The haze is driving me a bit batty here.. can you tell? and thinking of that... i keep seeing hordes of bats during the day.. strange

I am the luckiest teacher in the world. I am constantly on holiday and never teach!!! Seems that next week is spring break followed by midterms. I get 2 weeks off! I am finding a true appreciation for men from the south. My Louisianna man came and cooked gumbo and crab cakes for me this weekend.... months of cooking for him... and it was totally worth the wait!!!
