Valentine's Day.
A year ago today was the last time Rene and me made love.
After our break up, "Broken" by Seether & Amy Lee was my immediate anthem towards our relationship.
So I'm taking Melissa Miles' class at Millennium today, a Jazz 2 class, and Melissa goes, "Ok, I totally didn't mean to do this purposely on Valentine's Day, it just worked out this way...so for any of you who have ever been heart broken, here we go." She presses play.
It's "Broken".
Of course. It was almost funny how that worked out. Melissa was saying, "I want you to take that heart ache, and go there. I want you to go there." So I went.
Everyone in class, as Melissa was saying, was dancing too much like it was a lyrical piece and that we needed to thrash it up more, it's a rock song after all. So after a run through of my group, I put my heart in to it, and Melissa pointed at me saying, "YES! Thank you, that was it!" :o) I felt justified almost. Just the fact that she noticed I wasn't holding anything back, just letting what I was feeling at that moment out, was uplifting. After class I went up to her saying, "I LOVE your class!" and she goes, "You're so amazing!" and we went back and forth saying, "No, you are!" "No. You are!" Uh, no, you are!" It was really fun.
I love how that song and today took me back a year ago. In no way do I still have boyfriend related feelings for Rene, it's just I remember that I did, and what it felt like losing him.

So anyway, off from that, let's take it back two days. Filming for the Shiat/Day (AD agency of the year) thingy with Birmingham. I had SOOOOO much fun. I can't even express it. All the rehearsals even were just wonderful.
Brian was there, Rene's boyfriend. At first I thought, "Oh shit, is there gonna be beef?", but no, that thought was quickly disabled. Brian is awesome. We were all playing Celebrity Password on Sunday for like 30 minutes, and Brian and me were on team in which we titled, "Paris/Nikki". I was Nikki. He was Paris. We had so much fun!
But the majority of the weekend was spent playing "Egyptian Rat Screw". In which we later titled "Multiple Orgasms". Seriously, THE BEST FUCKING CARD GAME EVER INVENTED!! Tayler Braash is now one of my new favorite people. Among Molly Finch, Carlos Gonzalez, Jessie Sander, and of course Brian. Damn, Dennis is great too. Lol, I can't even express how good it felt to be back in that theater setting (except it was for a movie production setting...but with actual people I like)...yeah. It was just great.
But on Sunday, Rene and me really got comfortable around eachother again. Not in the sense of boyfriend and boyfriend, oh no, that'd just be wrong, but in the sense that we actually were connecting on some level. The friends level. It felt great to talk and be stupid with him again.

I typed up my resume the other night at Christina's house, because I needed to add a million and one things that I've done over the past two years that I hadn't put on my old resumes. I put down the TWBA/Chiat/Day thingy under film, credited myself as choreographer, yes, all nice, but I spelled Chiat/Day like Shiat/Day. So my agent goes while reading it all over, "Yeah, it looks really good, but Chiat/Day is spelled with a C not a S" And I go, "Oh, right. Wait, you've heard of them?" And she goes, "Oh definetly, how'd you get this gig anyway?"
I was so stoked. Anything having to do with TBWA/Chiat/Day looks fantastic on a resume. Yay.

So I found a loop hole with LA Fitness. Tony bought a membership, a $400 down + $40 a month membership. All they gave him was a little swipe keyring thingy, like how Ralph's has for their members. Tony doesn't really go that often, if at all anymore, so he gave it to me. All I have to do swipe it when I go in, and BAM, they think I'm a member. I love it.
But what I DONT love is yoga. Katy (who also has a membership to LA Fitness) made me take this yoga class with her, our first time. And Mana and me had always been planning on doing yoga, so I was semi-excited to try it... why is yoga the most boring and tedious thing ever? The instructor was talking like the guy from the fucking Visine commercials! "Clear eyes for red eyes" bullshit. It was horrible. We couldn't even hold our laughter sometimes from how stupid the shit was.

So Sean asked me if I wanted to come over tonight... I may not have done it for a year, but Sean, that doesn't mean I'm desperate.

The money came in for my car. Not sure if I posted this, but I got in a car accident, totally other person's fault, she hit my side door (the side that wont open), so we blamed the door not working on the accident, and now it's getting paid for.
Classic.
$1,700!! That's soo much money! I was like, "Dad, I'm over fixing the car, how about I just keep the money?" He denied me.
--------------------------------------------
You know you love it, Mana.

I have a myspace account now. Mainly because Beau, Kristi and Jason do. I'm such a follower... ::lowers head in shame::
--------------------------------------------
I really do wish the best for Rene and Brian. They're cute together.

I'm done.
