The Social Media Program Manager is responsible for managing the execution of integrated social media communications programs for Seagate Technology. This position will implement and measure social media programs and activities as outlined by their manager by working with both external agencies and internal creative and web services teams.
Strong marketing, social media and project management skills are required, along with an ability to prioritize work in a changing business environment are essential. Candidate will need to be a team player and rely on experience and judgment to plan, prioritize and accomplish goals.
Direct Responsibilities
· Be the lead subject matter expert on social media
· Be able to project manage high visibility corporate projects
· Project manage and measure social media campaigns and promotions
· Manage Seagate's global Twitter footprint, including strategy and content
· Manage Seagate's global blog program, including strategic development
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree;
* 5+ years in marketing communications, social media or social marketing
* Experience in high-tech and consumer electronic markets required.
* High level of social media literacy and understanding of tools and applications for social media programs
* High level of marketing communications literacy, including advertising or public relations experience.
* Strong leadership abilities and results-driven orientation.
* Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively and partner with peers and senior management in marketing, sales, and operations.

Description
Manages the development and implementation of projects and programs focusing on Global Logistics. These projects and programs involve departmental or cross-functional teams, including business operations, information systems, Finance and International Trade. Plans and directs schedules and may monitor resource allocation and assignment. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget and resource constraints. This position has overall project management responsibility and typically focuses on projects with a distinct beginning and end.
In addition to general project management, operational responsibilities may include:
* Generation and management of metrics measuring global logistics performance, including freight cost, freight mode, on time delivery and loss management.
* Analyzes and recommends improvement to current logistics processes.
* Evaluates customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met.
* Works with suppliers, carriers and warehouse operations to identify and eliminate system and process defects.
* Identify, design, and develop continuous improvement in logistics functions, to service both internal and external customers.
* Develop solid relationship with logistics service providers to execute service and savings agreements.
* Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
* Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Description
This position will be responsible for administrative support for the Senior Director, Security Americas. The successful candidate will provide analytical and specialized administrative support to the Sr. Director and staff managers of routine business details and advanced administrative duties.
The ability to strike a balance between supporting daily needs with a high degree of initiative in anticipating and quickly resolving problems is essential. In addition to the management of daily email, travel and expense reports, this individual will:
* Consistently work on challenging assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Make recommendations for new procedures.
* Analyze problems, determine approach, compile and analyze data, and prepare reports / recommendations.
* Act independently to determine procedures on new assignments. Recommend improvements to existing procedures.
* Closely monitor all incoming information to quickly understand presenting issues.
* Prepare agendas and correspondence for staff and business meetings and maintain records and files of current and post projects, operations and decisions. Work with spreadsheet, database, presentation and word processing software packages in the preparation of requested documents.
* Manage the accrual process for 7 cost centers.
* Manage the budget for the Americas region.
* Work with and manage information of a confidential nature requiring considerable discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy.
* The balance between supporting daily needs of the Director with independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in anticipating and quickly resolving problems.
This individual must possess a positive attitude with emphasis on working as a team member within and across the Security Americas organization.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
* Minimum of 6 years administrative experience at a large publicly traded organization.
* High level of business acumen and critical thinking.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated experience handling and maintaining confidential information.
* Strong computer systems experience including advanced level in all Microsoft office products.
* Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.
Note: This position will initially be located in Scotts Valley, CA and will be moving to Seagate's Cupertino, CA location mid-year 2011.
