Sick kitties are scary. :(

Moose was feeling sick last night. I found him around 11:30 pm slumped on the steps to the upstairs, and he was yowling like he was hurt. I held him for a bit, and he just left me cuddle him which he normally doesn't do. His nose was warm and dry ( Read more... )

Oh, no! I hope it's not something bad.
Did you try checking PetMD.com to check for symptoms? I got a great tip from there to give Bailey a little olive oil to make her throw up once when she ate some soil that had pesticides in it.

Bailey sends Moose some licks to make him feel better.

Moose seems to be doing better this morning. Other than his stomach seeming sore, there's really no symptoms to look up anything about. He does go through periods where he throws up around once a day. Usually it's when he has a hairball he needs to get out. He gets a mix of hairball formula (which helps keep him from throwing up more) & urinary health food because he had a UTI 3 years ago. That's what had me so scared last night. After he was sick the last time, anytime he acts odd, it just scares me. I found giving him yogurt and farina helps him too.

Moose and I appreciate the licks. :) I'll post an update after he sees the vet. ♥

I'm glad he's feeling better too. I'm still going to get him to the vet ASAP tomorrow just to get checked out.

*hugs and snuggles you back*

Felix' nose always is warm and dry... But then again, he mostly hides it underneath his tail. LOL

Glad to hear Moose is doing better. :)

Moose's nose is always cool and wet. He doesn't have a tail to hide his under though. lol

It was such a relief to see him feeling better so soon. I still want to have him checked by the vet. He just worries me. It's almost worse than having a kid.

*hugs*

Sometimes I wish pets could talk, especially when they're sick. It's just scary not knowing what's wrong. He seems to be ok and his stomach isn't as touchy now. *hugs*

It *is* really scary when they're sick and you can't figure out why. I'm glad to hear he's feeling better today and hope he continues to improve. Kitty scritches for Moose and hugs for you...

When they're sick, I really do wish animals could talk. I hate not knowing how to make him better. But he's doing a lot better today. :)

*hugs and meows*
