When Snape tells Harry "to look at me" and Harry's green eyes makes contact with his, I didn't really understand the significance.

When I got to digest I realized why he said it and really just broke my heart. I've always been eh about Snape but this was just...well written. I hope that's vague enough. Le sigh. I can't believe it's over.

Very woeful. Can't believe it's over too.

Also, I have a vague idea of what you're talking about, but am not sure I'm thinking what you're thinking. What do you mean in non-vague terms?

Well I didn't understand why Snape would tell Harry to look at him as he was dying, but then it was revealed in the pensieve that Snape loved, loved, loved Lily Potter. Then it made sense; as Snape lay dying all he wanted to see was something that reminded him of Lily, and of course, Harry had Lily's lovely eyes. When I realized why he wanted to look at Harry's eyes I just started blubbering all over again. Like I said I really didn't care about Snape and it didn't matter much to me whether he was "good" or "evil" but when I found out about his life, about the agony he lived in and the loved he felt, I couldn't help but feel pity for him. It was just a heartbreaking way for him to go and his actions revealed the desperate love that was in him. Poor, tragic Snape. I appreciate him a lot more now ( ... )
