I've been back in the United States now. I sort of dreaded coming back. When they started playing MTV in the chow hall right before we left, I remembered what a shitty place I was risking my life for. i can never know how hard it is to come back but i know it can't be easy readjusting. this post makes me very worried about you but i want to be respectful above all. i don't think there is anything dishonorable about you together or apart from your battalion. i thought about you often, many times worrying about you, while you were gone. however, i want to be a friend to you. if you really want to just get in and out of houston, i'll respect these wishes. on the other hand, if any part of you wants to chill, i'll certainly try and supply some relaxation, drinks, food, fun, etc. whatever happens, have a good break/holiday and i'm so incredibly glad and thankful that you made it home safe this year.
