So around 1 I walked down to Somerset House, on the Strand, to see the Courtauld Collection. I got in for free since I'm a student (side note: discount admissions on England are called "concessions" and places never tell you the reasons they will grant you a concession, so I always just tell people I'm a student and hope for free things).
Somerset House has an ice rink in its courtyard (this is from the inside-front looking back)
I saw a bunch of Rubenses and Cezannes and took this blurry picture of the Bar at the Folies-Bergere, by Manet.

So then I went out to eat at this place on Gray's Inn Road which served really greasy "British cuisine" (my words, not theirs). I don't have any pictures, since I felt a little weird taking photographing my food, but I had an enourmous slice of roast beef with tons of gravy, roasted potatoes and brown sauce, marrowfat peas (which are really big and taste kind of minty?) and a Yorkshire pudding, which is actually kinda like a biscuit/popover...
With sultana pudding for afters!
