 Every time I see someone claim that the phrase "That's so gay" has nothing to do with homosexuality, I want to strangle them. Where the fuck do these people think the phrase comes from?

That one is kind of lame because a lot of gamers just have a lot of games. I could have 200 friends and still have more games than friends. :P

There are also ones about braindead jocks and cheerleaders that make more sense.

Well for me, it's just something that stems from childhood. Every little kid in the 4th grade would go around saying, "Hey, are you happy? YEAH?! CAUSE THAT MEANS YOU'RE GAY!!!"

It's just one of those insults that you learn and becomes ingrained in your vocabulary before you're even aware of what it means. When I was old enough to know what it implied, I stopped using the phrase. And it does bother me when other people use the phrase, but I have to admit, every once in awhile it pops outta my mouth when I'm not thinking. =/
