Are you being the genuine you when I see you at that party? Or is it the pills, alcohol, weed and all the other party favors that come with a "party". Are you true to yourself at the least? When I look at you, is that a mask? When you return the stare are you actually seeing me? What happens when to many people wearing masks go meet at a party?

It sucks when people hide themselves and wont be who they truely are... but then again some of these "fake" people dont really know who their true self is. Its sad and it makes life hard for the people who care about them.

Many similar thoughts to my own this day. Coming from different perspectives. It wasn't really connecting with me until I read to the point of questions in quotes. It intrigued my brain a bit more and caused it to actually think. Of thought plenty about the masks and costumes we wear. And what I told myself the most was the good things about it. Which is complicated nonsense, because either way the negatives of this mask and costume outweighs the little good it has. Unconciously putting up this wall preventing any further intimacy. I'm glad I read this post, whether i read it a day late or not. I felt something good inside me, and it's lingering in there still.

Well Eli, I really enjoyed reading those words (real good ones I might add) coming from you. I still remember all the good times we had and the times that you didn't wear a mask in front of me. I will never forget those memories.

I'm very happy to see that you can now say very positive things about yourself.

The sad part is that some people wear these masks for so long that they truley believe that that's who they are. They will never find themselves therefore never living a true life.
You have overcome that I see.

I wish I had more time to write everything I'm thinking.
