Of course the crowning jewels of the collection are zombie movies. The people of New Ashford seem to find their ancestors' ideas of the undead particularly entertaining and the Tavern will be full to bursting with excited and laughing citizens for these 'old classics'.
While many of these movies might seem distantly similar to ones on other Earths, they are not exactly the same, nor bear precisely the same titles, characters, or plots.]

And she has been drinking...warm mead and she also has a bowl of popcorn to share with anyone who joins her.]

He decided to at least check in with her.]
No cowboys this time, Maria?
Reply
Hey Tron. Not today - though they're playing a little bit of everything so maybe some will come up.

[He's partially serious and maybe attempting to be funny. He's not exactly sure which himself. He will however take a seat beside her.]
Though I am curious why there would be movies about zombies when this celebration is supposed to be cheerful. Why remind them about what is out there waiting for them?

I didn't mean that literally, Tron. There's just movies on many different subjects - and they're trying to play a bit of each kind for the festival.
[Maria sits back with a vibrant chuckle.]
Because they're so different from what zombies are actually like, that everyone finds them funny. Besides...if we didn't laugh at the kind of horror we go through every day...we'd cry - and then we'd lose to those horrible monsters twice...Once for being too depressed to fight well and dying more often, and Two because we'd let them control us with fear.
[It becomes clear after a moment that the 'monsters' she is talking about are the Dromos, not the undead they control.]

[Sounded like something Flynn would do. He was always good at finding a way to make a joke about anything and everything, even during serious times.]
You and the other Users here are all very brave, I don't see that ever happening. [Besides, if it did he'd just fight for you guys.]

Especially since he knew Tron was going to be there.
It wasn't difficult to spot him out amongst the crowd. He saw him sitting besides a woman he was vaguely familiar with. Someone he knew Tron had spoken to once before. He smirked as he approached the back of the couch, a hand resting against Tron's shoulder gently.]
And what do we have here, hm?
[There was a small, amused chuckle that was very distinctive of CLU's.]
Tron, would you care to explain?
Reply
There is nothing to explain, program.
[He won't look back at him, but it's obvious he's not comfortable with CLU suddenly there. Jaw clenching, body tensed. He's not good at hiding his emotions at all, they're right out in the open, all over his face.]
I am learning about User cinema with Maria. [He used a big word, CLU. CINEMA.]

Hello there. Mr. CLU, right? Another program like Tron? Pleased you meet you, I'm Maria Walch, Second Commander of the militia here. Enjoying the party?

Fraternizing with the Users.
[He couldn't help but chuckle as he pats his shoulder firmly. There was obviously something hidden beneath his words, but his intentions were not so clear. CLU averted his attention away from Tron for the moment and glanced at Maria.]
A powerful User, then. Interesting.
[He chuckles softly as he nods in greeting towards her]
It has been pleasant so far, but now it just got better. I've been looking for this program all evening.

Then out with it, CLU, what do you want? You're here for something, I'm not in the mood for games.
[And then go away, he wants to watch movies with his friend okay? He's getting a bit snippy, you put him on edge, make him nervous. So he'll act defensive and stand offish because of it.]
