Talent Show

[A stage has been set up within sight of the fenced area surrounding the apartment building and lawn of Pine Meadow. Here both newcomers and citizens of New Ashford may share their skills and talents of a flashy nature to the crowd that has gathered around the stage as well as the elderly folks who are peering out through the fence nearby.

The New Ashforders are an enthusiastic and parched audience in terms of new entertainment. It won't take much to send them into rounds of applause and they tend to positively encourage anyone who is brave enough to go up on stage.]

It didn't sound horrible, Alistair, it was lovely, if not a little awkward. [she's not going to lie to the man, he's a big boy, but it wasn't horrid; she'd heard worse, really.] The important thing, however, is that you shared something wonderful with all of us, and some of us enjoyed it.

[exorcizing]

Alice, Alistair, and you're welcome. [she gives a soft smile] I'd love to hear more of it sometime, if you'd let me; it was very interesting, and a little reminiscent of something back home.

[exorcizing]

[she laughs, shaking her head.] I don't mind at all, I asked, after all. [her expression turns thoughtful, brow slightly furrowed] And I wouldn't mind talking about home, myself. Though, thinking about it, doesn't it seem hard? To explain something you've known all your life to someone whose never even seen it?

[exorcizing]

You're probably right. It'll certainly be interesting to see where similarities come to and end. [can you tell? she's kind of excited.]

[exorcizing]

[She falls silent for a moment, casting her eyes down towards her feet before...]
