While Elijah seems different than I expected, Ruby somehow perfectly fits in. I'd been wondering why you hadn't been around though -- but knowing this, I'm sorry to hear about your grandpop passing. I hope you're able to really let out your emotions, as then they store up they can be harmful... But most of all I hope that you're okay and the rest of your family as well.
My boy name choices were Elijah as our first, Nicholai, Issiah, and I still really like Malachai but I would nix that one anyways because of the problem my grandma mom and dad would have with it and I just wouldn't want to hear it. Girls choices were Ruby, Grace, Cadelle (yes I know it's traditionally aboys name but I really liked it for a girl.) And we had a few others, like Nolie (My sisters nickname.)
I'm really sad. The funeral was really hard. And dealing with the reoccuring realization that I'll never see him again... is heart breaking. He was my dad essentially.
You really love names that have religious applications e.e;
But I know exactly what you mean - I know how much you lived around your grandparents, and it always kinda seemed like your grandpop might've been a really cool guy.
He was an amazing man. :) Thanks. But the bible thing/religious thing, is really just coincidence. The names came from just liking the names or from family. (Ruby was my grandpa's sister, and Grace was "Doc Grace" his uncle or a really close family friend.)
