I commented on new_vogue_ravyn's meme so now it is my turn to do it and hopefully see if someone else does it too. The rules are:

I think the original comment word was 'hopscotch', but it got changed to 'Shiny', and I changed it to fluffy. FYI.

I like D as a character, even if in the books I have read he's little more than a means to an end (personally I think he's a touch more developed in the films), but the writing style of the Vampire Hunter D books puts me right off, as I'm sure you've read. Love the films though.

And yes, Dracula in Dracula is really little more than the ultimate antagonist, existing to personify all the areas of panic in the Victorian Era; sexual deviance/adultery, immigration, superstition verses science, all of that. But I think that is what made him stick so well in the public imagination, since those issues are still relevant today.

Tigana sounds like an interesting read.
