So today we had the stronges earthquake since September 19 1985 which was 8.1, now it was only 7.8.  I'm glad to say that compared with 1985 which left the city in shambles and killed up to 7,000 people this time no buildings fell down and it seems no one was wounded.  Evacuation was done in order and most people were calm

Gracias por pensar en mi. Afortunadamente nada grave paso pero debemos seguirnos preparando ya que vivimos en una zona sismica. Yo estaba muy chiquita cuando paso lo del 85 solo recuerdo haber visto la lampara moverse horrible y despues ver edificios caidos en el centro.

We need to keep up doing drills and not letting our guard down, we live in an earthquake prone area and this will continue happening.

It was scary the movement was hard and the windows made craking noises but we made it.

I am so glad to hear that you are okay. Someone at school told me there was a huge earthquake in Mexico and I was so worried. Poor you, I hope it wasn't too scary. *hugs*

Thanks for the hugs. It was scary but we managed to be calm while hugging a pilar and then got away.

Thanks. I'm so glad nothing happened, but we can't relax we need to be ready for the ones to come.
