yeah, thats what i was wondering. what am i vouching for by signing it? is it just to say that he is a real person and not applying under some fake name? or is it a responsibility thing?

I just get tight booty when people ask me for favours for people I don't really even know, especially ones where I don't know all of the logisitics.

I would think there is no way you are the only one he knows with a passport, and that is scary to think that it comes down to needing a stranger would vouche for him!
