I just got the last payment for my SoulDoll Chiron. What I thought was interesting was amidst the last sentiments of the purchaser making sure I knew she'd sent her payment, she asked me if I rped with my dolls

Hah, it is a bit odd to randomly be asked that question. ^^: But maybe they were just idly curious or you had given them a "I totally RP" vibe or something. There are times when I wish I could RP my resin..but I need to find a more structured place to do so I think. Some sort of vague plot would be useful..I'm suffering the world's worst creative block right now.

It's probably best just to concentrate on your two right now. I'm sure it would make them happy. ^_^ Good luck finding Kaith the right kind of hair..I'm very glad I don't have any resin with super hard to find hair colors..

I have the same writer's block as you. Only mines been going on for about four years now. My kingdom for a plot! :) She actually gave me a link for structured rping resin. My biggest problem with rping MY resin, is they came from an rp, so starting them in a general new one would be difficult at best.

Thanks for the good wishes. I'm going to need them with Kaith. He's almost as difficult at Kiyam. I say almost because he's perfectly happy with his body and doesn't need to rotate through every brand on the market and he settled for the marbles easily too. >.> He's just being a stickler about his most precious attribute... his hair. Silly boy.

Some dolly people RP and others don't. I suppose it's natural a RPing dolly person might be curious? Particularly if she finds you an interesting person. ;)

We DO need to RP again. We are on at the same times sometimes. Occasionally I see you in the evening. I think the difference is you are more commonly on in the mornings when I'm working.

If you wanna rp though babe, I'll make it happen! I strong armed Erik into renewing the Le Palais domain name so technically I have a structured dolly rping forum at my disposal! I'd just need to know what you wanted to rp so I could set the forum up. I don't know how to make the board pretty, but dude, I can make it functional.

I'm on when I remember to turn Trillian on. ^^; I close Thurs/Fri as a general rule, but the rest of the week I should be free, barring schedule changes. Just poke me to remind me to log on. ^^;;

Oh, score! I was kinda wondering what was going on with it, since it looked so... empty. I thought a bunch of the old stuff was supposed to have been transferred over?

Hmmm... intellectual question: Would some ladies roleplay with their dolls in the more "conventional" sense, i.e. interacting with the dolls themselves in character-driven ways? At its roots, roleplaying as a hobby is an extension of the "let's pretend" play that we engage in as kids. I get a kick out of the photography and photo stories that Roulette's gotten into, but the RP she's referring to is technically independent of the dolls, since she's been writing about these characters for years.

I'm not judging... one man's weird is everyday life for someone else. I'm just curious. (As a disclaimer, I am also a consummate "traditional" tabletop roleplayer... so I play "let's pretend" with my friends every week! ^_^ )

Some do, some don't. Rishi does, I don't. *laugh* Though I am occasionally referenced in photostories as "landlady", I still never appear or interact.

I can't say what other "ladies" do. I sometimes talk to mine, but since they come from a reality where I am not an entity, I don't "role-play" with them. I have seen or heard others including themselves in their dolls realities as a caretaker or mother like figure.

For me though I prefer to be the author and not exist to my characters or my dolls. Which is why I generally don't portray myself conversing with my dolls in photo-stories. I rp the dolls together. Not rp along with my dolls
