I really think this was a great fic. Jack did hurt Ianto that day--Gwen was marrying someone else, and he'd never made any kind of promise of any sort of romantic feelings to Gwen. He encouraged Gwen to be with Rhys, after all. Ianto is loyal to Jack both as a lover and employee, and Jack did indeed kick him when he was down. After that dress incident, and the stint with the Doctor, and John Hart...
