[Oshitari can be found over to the side of the fire, sprawled on the ground and using his bag as a pillow. He's reading a book by a combination of the light from the fire and his flashlight, which is being wielded by a Cleffa sitting on his chest and making excited noises at the book. There's a Meowth and an Eevee curled up sleepily next to him.]

[APPROACH Y/N?]

[N-- I mean.

He'll just be appearing overhead, leaning down to catch your eye curiously. Scanning the title!]

Someone's cozy in dim lighting. Planning on making your usage of glasses genuine?

[smirks up at you.] My usage of them is perfectly genuine, I'll have you know. It's just not the same usage as some other people.

It soon will be, if you always read like this. [blinking] I take it that you found the library pleasing?

That's why I have a flashlight!

There is a depressing lack of books from home, unfortunately. Everything is Pokemon-themed. But they're just as interesting as the ones at home~

And plenty of child labour to take advantage of, so it seems. For shame. [reaching down with a tentative finger to pet at that pink bundle of happiness. who's a cute cleffa? you areee you areeee]

Well, it's certainly good to know that romance fiction is of the same ilk no matter where you go.

[offended look!] It was all her idea, really! And she wouldn't want her adoring trainer to go blind either, would she. [Marianne likes you, person who is petting her! have happy CLEFFA CLEFFA sounds.]

I would be quite shocked if it weren't, really. Shocked and horrified.

Oh, what an intelligent Cleffa. [beaming!] She must have realized that a blind trainer wouldn't be very useful for operating the can-opener, and would be, in fact, more likely to feed her to the dog.

A little disappointing, though. Of all the things to remain constant...

Plus, I wouldn't be able to read books to her. She likes books. [Marianne agrees! that is why she's dropped the flashlight and is now bouncing around happily on him.]

Only goes to show you that people are the same everywhere~

Mm, I don't think I've ever seen anyone so excited over a romance novel. [picking up the flashlight, and giving it a look-over absently]

Or that cliches transcend dimensions. What're you reading about?

You've clearly never been to a bookstore during the release of a new Stephanie Meyer novel. [not that he has either. of course not.]

Isn't that what I said~? This one is about Clefairy's desperate love for Ledyba, the most popular Pokemon. Though she'd really be much better off with Stantler.

No, I can't say I have. Speaking from experience, Oshitari?

Now, doesn't that sound familiar.

I learned my lesson after the first one. It's much safer to just mail-order them.

Transcend dimensions, indeed.

That does sound safer -- and more sanitary, really.

You did say you were going to recommend a few.

Very much so, yes. Not that hordes of teenage girls can't have their appeals, but. Well.

Mm, the libraries don't seem to have any books from our world, unfortunately. I might have to start my favorites list over from the beginning.
