[This would be Fuji, doing terrible things to food.

No, I mean, seriously. He has a bag of what looks to be wasabi peas and is cheerfully dumping them into the otherwise innocuous salad. The plates of finished food that are lined up next to him include fried eggs with pineapples, Japanese hotpot that's slowly melting that rather large piece of dark chocolate that he jammed in on a whim, and sardine look-alikes stuffed with pickled vegetables. Everything has a layer of hotsauce on it. Please don't put anything he's made anywhere near your mouth.

... on the other hand, he also has made an assortment of creatively arranged foodpieces. Seems that he's very handy with domestic things, because arranged on a platter are apple rabbits, octapus sausages, creatively shaped riceballs and other fairly artistic things like that. Unlike most of his other unique 'creations', these are actually edible, and are fairly good. He spends too much time reading Asian Fusion cookbooks.

Feeling hungry?]

Just so. You eat questionable things all the time anyway though including snacks from Gakuto's bookbag, so it shouldn't bother you. I just hope you've not built up some kind of weird immunity.

I think all of us without your sophisticated palate have probably built up some kind of immunity to food you would call "questionable". Which just means when the world ends and only Fuji here is left to cook for us all, we'll be less likely to die of starvation.

I don't think it's even so much as immunity in the sense you mean it as it is becoming comfortable with low standards, which I refuse to do. And god forbid, that would just prove that there are fates worse than death.

I think I might prefer the commoner standards. The snacks from Gakkun's bag are delicious~

Do you mean having to eat his food forever, or having to be without your magnificent presence?

You would. That crap is full of high-fructose corn syrup and empty calories. I should start doubling laps.

[Grin] I'm sure both would be horrible for you. What would you do if I weren't around?

Oh, but I can hear Shishido yelling at you already, if you did that. And surely none of us want that.

Have to run far fewer laps, I'm sure. And not have to taste-test your food or worry about the nearest location of hygiene products...

Please, I just tune him out and eventually he wears himself out. It's gotten pretty funny, actually.

What are you implying? Those things build character, Yuushi, you should be more appreciative.

Well, yes, but I worry that eventually one of us will suffer permanent hearing damage from all the abuse.

What, are you saying I don't have enough character?

That's a legitimate concern, I suppose. You can figure out how to shut him up next time.

You're lucky "mada mada" isn't my thing. You get the point. Everyone has room to grow though, naa?

I think that might require divine intervention...

By that logic, I think eating Fuji-kun's salad would help you grow a lot~

But I always do it. [Smirks, amused by himself.]

You are evil incarnate, Oshitari Yuushi, has anyone ever told you this?

Didn't you just say you ignore him and he wears himself out?

I'm sure you've mentioned it at least once before~

I consider that a solution.

I think it was 'heartless villain' last time, actually, but the sentiment's the same.

It doesn't involve you doing anything, though, so it can't count as an action on your part.

You know, you were the one who suggested that adverse events build character. I'm only following your logic.

[popping in--] Yes-- at least three other legs, even if I do say so myself. Makes running laps positively exciting.
