Barney, as it turns out, was having very much similar thoughts to Larry. Why had he even gotten on this bus? He was leaving Goldenrod! The closest thing he found to home. He put it up to having still been drunk while making the decision.

Of course, now he was hungover, which he hadn't thought possible here in Johto, but somehow his party had produced enough alcohol to cause it. He groaned, trying to ignore the bus and all of it's movements (Was the Jenny aiming for every bump and dip?). God this sucked.

Make it end! he thought, almost as a prayer.

"Barneyyyyyy..."

That whiny voice was unmistakable. Obviously, it was Larry, and while practically hanging off Barney from the next seat, he was clearly just as miserable as his friend.

If he would have known that the bus driver was going to be that crazy officer who obviously has no idea how to drive, he wouldn't have even given this idea a second thought. Maybe that Dynamic Punch he got to the face from Poliwrath this morning added to his impaired judgment. Or maybe he was just too busy checking her out at the time to realize it was that Jenny.

"Larry, tell me something," Barney said, or rather, groaned. "What did we do to deserve this?"

He could not, in recent memory anyway, figure out what he had done to deserve this kind of torture. He'd just followed Larry onto the bus, hoping to be a good wingman, and now? Now he was clearly not in a good place.

"I'm wondering the same thing," Larry muttered, slumping back into his seat and trying not to at the world whirling by outside the window. "Maybe it's punishment for partying in a world that's designed for kids."

"But there are adults here! And they sell alcohol! We're legal! We shouldn't have to abide by a kiddy-game's rules!"

Besides, didn't games like this always have hidden content like that?
