[Gakuto was minding his own business, exploring Goldenrod like he'd just bought it when he felt something in his backpack move. Annoyed, he initially wrote it off as just the contents in it resettling; though packing light was practically a policy of his, he'd made an exception for the eggs he'd ordered from the Breeding Centre. Not wanting to risk anything happening to them, he'd resigned himself to being weighed down for their safety and gently packed them in his backpack for safe-keeping, not letting it out of his sight or off his person if he could help it.

It was a sacrifice he was growing increasingly pissed about as each day passed.

The second time his backpack moved, mere seconds later, he'd about had it with these goddamn eggs. Babysitting was bad enough, but no one mentioned they'd move around or anything like that! Checking the bag to see who the offending egg was, his eyes widened at the crack that had formed along its shell, close to the blue writing he'd scribbled on it in marker for identification
