I'm glad to see you've written something again; I missed your works =) This was great as usual; I particularly loved the first part, and the idea of mentioning what it would look like in a movie.
This was a happy story to me. There are elements of angst of course. There is your Ruki, being scared and in love, not wanting to be vulnerable, closing himself off, then a brief moment of true happiness and content, but it doesn't last, before Ruki sinks down again, because Ruki is Ruki, and Ruki is full of doubt, insecurity, skepticism. But at least Uruha is there. No, they're not talking, probably not truly understanding one another but he is there, not exactly by Ruki's side, because there is distance between them, distance Uruha lets Ruki have, but it gives me hope that maybe he does understand him in the end and that he will stay by Ruki's side
