KRISSMASU - LAST UPDATE BEFORE THE LOG ON THE 28TH
All right, folks! As the title says, this is the last time I'll make a gigantic updated post concerning the Winter Festival before the actual festival itself! Let me know if you've changed your mind of things, what edits/suggestions I need to make, so on and so forth. NEWBS CAN STILL JOIN IN! as for those who are sick and tired of reading this, anything in ITALICS will be new changes! Onto the copypasta.
This is an updated post for the Christmas/Winter/Yule/New Years/Etc festival our game will be having! For those not in the know, it will be a gigantic log (or possibly several logs) for characters to come and play in. It is in no way mandatory, we're just doing this for fun. Read on to find out what's in store! And for those who already know about it, read on to find out about updated things!
THE TIME:
While ICly it will take place on the 25th, the actual Christmas log will be on the 28th. I can imagine there will be plenty of backtagging which is 100% okay!
THE PLACES:
Like the fall festival, the celebrations will be held in Cherrygrove, Violet, Azeala, and Goldenrod.
To save time and not be repetitious, the Christmas/Yule/Winter Festival information (such as places+events+signups) will be, as of right this now you are reading it, sent to all Pokegears as a formal invitation by Minnie Mouse. I am prepared to do plenty of hand-waving to say how people found information from one another, since I know a lot of you are busy this time of year. I don't want people stressing out over anything - this log is going to be our end-of-the-year reward! Even you new characters, you're be getting invitations too, even if you have no idea who this 'Minnie' is.
Onto the events! When the Log goes up, there will be a thread for each town, then sub-threads for each event of the town, except/unless A)We get a lot of people up for tournaments, then they'll get their own log, and B)People want to create their own logs for certain events. If you want to do so for an event you offered, let me know in advance!
First, events that don't need sign-ups.
Tree Decorating: Each town will have a tree cut down, then dragged into the town center, and set up. From there, characters can decorate them in their own way, and place presents underneath if they choose. Marluxia will be helping out with general tree thing |D
Gift Exchange: Aside from actually roleplaying the exchanging of gifts, this thread will also be used to make OOC lists of what your characters gave others, be it in person or sent in the mail/flew via birds/etc, if you don't have time/energy to make threads for every single present. In light of so many people making Christmas Gift List Posts, this will be the place where you can put links to those posts, so we can all read them!
Banquets: Each town will have their own banquet/buffet table, full of holiday food. Hayate will be in charge of it in Goldenrod. Watanuki will be cooking for Cherrygrove. France will be cooking for Violet, along with some help from Sebastian, while Vera will serve beverages in the same town - additionally, Vera will also be drawing everyone in Violet, and if your character will be in Violet during the festival, go here here to let her mun know so you can be drawn! The Vera Event is now closed, you'll just have to wait and see what she came up with!
Dancing: Hayate and Athrun have offered up dancing lessons for those in Goldenrod, and Ahiru has done the same for Violet, so unless I hear more offers for other towns, those two towns will have threads for dancing.
Winter Concert: This is exclusively to Goldenrod, where Machi will be playing the Keytar for all to enjoy! He will be performing, in Machi's words, 'awesome 8-bit remixes of videogame songs'~! Additionally in his words, 'Also, he's gonna also broadcast it over the network. So nobody will miss out. Also, if you have any 8-bit song requests, send them my way. I'll search Youtube for them. I'm working on my playlist right now, and then contacting Lammy-mun to see if Machi's gonna have a partner on stage.' Lammy will be joining Machi on stage! Rock on!
General Snow Activities: THANK YOU MODS FOR GIVING US SNOW. Every town will have the chance to play in the snow! Snowmen, snow angels, sledding, etc.
Ice Skating: Mods confirmed that the rivers/water areas/not oceans will be frozen, so there will be places to skate!
Caroling: Minnie will have her Pokegear open and try to get others to sing... BUT, it will also be an OOC thread, for us to exchange links/downloads to our favorite songs, to share them with each other.
Mistletoe: It's going to be in very town. Smooch up a storm!
Christmas Star: Entirely Ahiru-mun's idea. Essentially, it'd be like the royal court of the last festival - "Like a raffle sort of thing, and they are made to wear a silly hat and get to put the star on the tree/make a wish on the star".
