Thanks! Both cities have a lot of half-timbered houses and a very pretty downtown area. Since they're within commuting distance of Frankfurt it's rather expensive to live there, especially in the pretty parts.
I've noticed lately I seem to have developed a liking for windows and doors. Whatever that means^^
You really take a lovely photo. You also manage to take photos of the sort of thing that would catch my eye too. Hey, I'm the one with thirty or so pictures of hassocks from St. Mary's Church. *g*
My attention was particularly caught by the attempt at camouflage. I do love human ingenuity.
You know, I find the hassock thing so very understandable... *g* It's the details that make a place what it is, isn't it? Well, at least partly. I like those little things *g*
Yeah, the camouflaged power distribution thingies were funny. Was a bit hard to take a picture of them, though, angle-wise. I liked the lady and the dog. I have a photo of them taken seconds before this one, where they both look down. It's a bit blurry, sadly.
Happy you enjoyed them! I couldn't figure out what an umbrella without a handle was doing there on the sidewalk but it was too good to just walk by *g*
It was the first time I went there, too - M's uncle gave us an extensive tour and it was really interesting and very pretty. Although I missed a lot of the information because I was constantly trying to catch up with them after stopping to take a picture...
