Just another retro Sunday...

New Model Army - Green and Grey

Went to see them perform last night in Cologne, and yes, it has thrown me into a right retro mood. I can't help it, feel free to ignore me. But it felt exactly like this:

I think the first time I saw them perform was in 1994. Nothing much has changed. The fans are still faithful, the atmosphere great. Justin at 54 is still going strong. They played for nearly three hours last night. Great concert.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Weeping Song

I thought about the other concerts I went to at the E-Werk in Cologne over the years. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. This is the first video by them I ever saw, and the first song I heard. I think they had fun during the video shoot. Probably drank gallons of wine. Nick and Blixa are just too cute in this *g*

Johnny Cash - The Mercy Seat

This is a good interpretation of Cave's The Mercy Seat by Johnny Cash. I grew up with Cash's music because my dad likes him. So this is kind of really retro for me, although the song is newer.

Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub - And Then She Kissed Her

One of my favorite songs by him, I always danced to this when they played it at the club. Lyrics might sound a bit strange to native English speaker's ears. Pia Lund sounds a bit different than she used to. Boa, who used to always cuss at his audience in the early days is still greeted with a nostalgic "fuck you" by his hardcore fans.
