What gorgeous pics - I popped over to see your portal pics, after Rosie mentioned them at , but I love all of these! Mind you, there is something special about the gorgeously used doors and glazings - I can't resist a bit of dereliction myself... *g*
That's sweet of you to pop over and leave a comment, and I'm happy you like the pics! :D
Dereliction, yes, I'm definitely a fan, too. I can't resist photographs or textures of worn things like walls etc., either.
Windows and doors seem to exert a special fascination, I very often find my gaze drawn to them. They really are portals to something else, aren't they.
Ah, it's difficult to choose which one is the best - every pic ist good (may I write "well done" too or is it only the phrase for steaks?). I think my favourite ones are Nr. 3 and 6.
You can use well done - although I might object in places, I'm still not quite at home with my camera's settings as I'd like to be ;) Finding something worthwhile photographing proves to be easier than getting the technical stuff right. Well, something to practice *g*
Anyhow, I'm happy the photos appeal to you! :D
I think I've settled on the angels as my personal favorite, I just somehow instantly liked them when I saw them in the cathedral in Lìege.
Yep indeedy! And I've got you to thank for the fun, and the new look ;) Although I just noticed that the usernames need a different color.
Just took some lines of favorite songs and stuck them together with the piccies - three of my favorites in one, music, Pros and drawing! Not sure I'll leave it like that for long (as you said, it's fun to change from time to time), but I'm pleased with it for now :)
PS: What does OTIK mean? That's an abbrevation I've not come across yet!
I'm just glad you're having fun with it. You get to redecorate without having to move heavy furniture about. Your header is rather spiffy. *g* I think a lot of LJ users don't realize you can do this without having to pay for the privilege.
Well, I didn't realize it! I honestly thought to decorate your own journal you needed the S2 style and a paid account. I feel like a noob newbie *bg*
Hehe, spiffy is good! I guess some people would go for "a bit depressing, don't you think?" what with the text and all. But what can I say, sometimes the little ex-goth in me comes to the forefront and waves. Or rather, sighs.
PS: thanks for the OTIK explanation! Shall use it next opportunity I get. Isn't language a lovely and wondrous thing. ♥
