George Orwell on Tea

I just thought you might appreciate this, dad. From Orwell's essay, A Nice Cup of Tea.

"Lastly, tea--unless one is drinking it in the Russian style--should be
drunk WITHOUT SUGAR. I know very well that I am in a minority here.
But still, how can you call yourself a true tea-lover if you destroy
the flavour of your tea by putting sugar in it? It ( Read more... )

I'm drinking iced tea...but at least i'm following the no sugar rule... gonna have to look this up to see what rules i am breaking...

I call the sweetened iced tea at work sugar water...cause that's what it tastes like..and i refuse to drink that...

okay now to look that up, then read Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, oh I love my class work for tomorrow...and i'm actually being honest with that statement...however I would rather finish reading my Harlequin Romance novel...

yay for a tea post!!! can we call this a "Tea Posty"?

--can we tell i'm putting off doing my homework?

Oh, I suppose we could call it that.

I like my tea hot, dark and strong, just like my women. Er, Wait. Forget I said that.

If you couldn't find it, you can read here

i did find it...i really only liked the final point...since i don't do that whole milk in my tea...i do, only sometimes do loose tea...don't know where my tea comes from even when it is loose.

I changed the name to it again...it is the "Internet Tea Posty"

Want...more...iced tea...

ya know..he didn't say a thing about lemon juice...probably be against it anyway...Yesterday I did start using that True LIME in my tea...(it's a powder) tastes yummy...

...now...to finish my paper on The Little Mermaid...totally recommend reading it...

http://hca.gilead.org.il/li_merma.html ... like it better than the disney film! and i liked that film too!

Okay, that gave me an idea to put a "tea" scene in one of my writings...It would be good for one of my paranormal/vampire ones...since they've lived for a long time, they'd see the trends in tea...OOOH have only loose tea at the manor and the human isn't sure how to make herself a cup...that would be kinda funny
