It's been over a month since Malinda spoke to Freida about her costume, so one night after classes she comes a'knockin'. In her hands she has a medium sized box that could contain pretty much anything, though she does seem to be holding it rather carefully.

It is small, somewhat thin, and all gold, resplendent with leaves and flowers. The flowers are roses, daisies, narcissi - all in their first bloom. Malinda holds it gently, as though it's very delicate.
"Mom and Dad have a jeweler; he made this for me at cost. It's all gold plated, nothing solid, probably 10 carat at most, but...isn't it beautiful?"

She bustle to the chest by her bed, pops it open, and pulls three rolls of fabric from inside. All are raw silk, and in the same color family: burgundy, claret, and deep maroon. "I know a friend of a friend, too, so to speak, and grabbed some of these on spec. I thought the claret one, maybe. Dark but rich. What do you think?"

"Yeah, everytime I pick it up I get little goosebumps! And all sorts of weird past-life flashbacks, which is kinda neat if a little odd."
She puts the diadem back in it's box and turns her attention on the fabric, making all the appropriate "oooh!" and "aah!" noises, touching them all like a kid in a candy store. Then, as though suddenly realizing what she's doing, she stops and gives Freida a somewhat sheepish look.
"Sorry! I'm just a really tactile person, I guess. But yeah! Definitely the claret - it's a nice balance between too red and too black."
