Week 31, In the library (and all over the school)

Mar 16, 2005 13:32

((OOC: Takes place after this thread. This is also the only smut warning you're gonna get, people, not that this is really all that smutty.))

I dunno, Bonnie thinks, eying the Boggan sitting two tables down from her. Willy said she's really scary, but she looks nice to me. Gnawing her pencil like it's a huge bone and--Bonnie's thoughts stop ( Read more... )

As Bonnie posts the letters in the hall, a long arm belonging to a much taller person reaches down and gently lifts the one from her hand. The exposed skin on the intruding limb is corpse white.

"And what have we here, Miss Bonnie?"

Vincent, stern and stony as ever, reads over the note while keeping tabs on the pooka from the corner of his eye. He's already read one of the other copies she's posted in another hallway, but it seems to make for a good dramatic gesture.

Bonnie's sneakered foot begins to beat against the floor like a little brass drum. "True... love?"

"Ah."

"No."

Vincent twirls the paper in his hands so that the print faces Bonnie. "Where did you find this, Miss Bonnie?"

"Look, I know Gudgeon is a really weird name for a girl, but..." She glances away, crossing her arms, foot beating faster still. "Not in the library. I'm just helping this Longlegs along."

As Longshadow walks through the halls, the most curious prickling starts at the base of his spine, crawling upward to make the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. He looks around quickly, an eyebrow raised. Two girls quickly turn away, giggling--not the first time something like that has happened within the last few minutes.

He peers down at his fly. Zipped.

He glances at the bottom of his shoe. No toilet paper.

I don't understand! Why is everyone staring at me?

"If it pleases you..." Longshadow's tongue flickers over his lips, an instant of pink on black. He squeezes Gudgeon's hand in return, suddenly looking far less poised than normal. "In truth, I've been wondering all week exactly how one courts a Nocker. Obviously whoever did this is far more intimate with mechanics of such a feat than I."

"Not that I'd object to receiving a note like this from you, L.," Gudge responds, presenting him with the final version of the note. "This is the one that Freida said was delivered to her place, complete with a box of roses." He opens the box that's under his arm, showing the flowers to Longshadow. "And, while flowers are nice, I think Guiness Stout will get you farther."

"So," Gudge continues, "have you pissed off anyone lately, who'd want to fuck you around like this? I'm pretty sure I've been too busy to get anyone's knickers in a twist."

Longshadow arches a brow. "Freida? Didn't we both piss her off the other day?"

"Okay," Gudge agrees. "I'll keep a lid on things for now. But if it goes more than a couple of days, it won't be of any fucking use. I can only avoid someone for so long, and the same goes for you. My guess would be that she's going to come looking for us to try and make sure we're okay."

Xandros nods in agreement, "But it's a good backup plan." He then looks over at Longshadow, "Care to elaborate on those debautcherous idea?"

"Are you certain you're a Satyr and not a Devil?" Longshadow tilts his head to one side. "Let your imagination run wild, Xandros."
