Parliament of world religions - help and connections needed

Reproductive Justice. Counseling. Water Issues. Education. Intentional community. These are all issues that are dear to me and my religious beliefs energize my work. if you have contacts in a church or organization that might be interested, ask them if they want me to speak or write something for them. If you are involved in any kind of social justice work and are interested in how religious people can get involved, talk to me about it and we can brainstorm!

The problem with this is that I attend the exact same church that you do, and you are lightyears ahead of my in social justice work! If I knew of ANYTHING I would send it your way, but in terms of other groups I am drawing a blank.

Of course... you COULD tap the renewable resource of young minds at UT. There are gazillions of religious organizations on campus, and surely some of them might be willing to participate in a dialogue, especially if it were organized and mediated by an outside source--i.e., YOU. Glance through the Student Organization Database to see what's out there. Barring that, you could always wander down the west mall and strike up a conversation with some of the more active/passionate groups there ( ... )

On the subject of Toastmasters, I have a friend that's in it. If you decide that's a direction you want to head in, I can put you in touch with her if you'd like. I'm not sure which one she goes to.
