So I just attended my very first baby shower in my adult life. The real first one I don't really count since I was just like 13ish and went with my mom to my youth pastor's wife's shower. I agree, shower games are lame, both at baby and bridal showers if you ask me. I have only been to one real bridal shower in my life and it was honestly pretty lame, the "games" aspect was so awkward!

When you throw a bunch of women together who don't know each other, it is not appropriate to force them to play cutesy games with each other...maybe if everyone in the room was BFF, but otherwise it just makes for awkwardness! The last baby shower I went to, I was paired with three older women I had never even met to do some "make a baby" game with balloons or some shit...it was so weird!!

yea a lot of my friends thought i was a bitch because i hated their bridal shower games and refused to play any at mine. but i grew up going to classy showers and that's the way it should be done!

thinking of how lame the party was makes me sad for you :/ what a gross afternoon! was the food at least good? lol

The food was kinda meh. The cake was really good though. My three other friends though were equally creeped out by some of the games so that was fun. Afterwards, I just was like "I need a beer. I need to do something not cutesy and frilly!" And I don't even like beer.
