The Lyle's Web site has recipes -- you can't go wrong with flapjack!

true, though I was hoping for some specific recommendations since there are so many recipes! I'll check out the flapjacks though. :)

Though I was under the impression that flapjacks were pancakes, but I guess not! :)

It took me a while to figure out that flapjack (singular) wasn't the same as flapjacks (plural). But I'd imagine that golden syrup might taste rather nice over flapjacks, too....

I've had flapjack before, though I've never made that specific recipe. It's like a very sweet granola bar.

1) I have a maple syrup/sugar cookbook that I keep meaning to send you. I bought it in JUNE and forgot to give it to you at the wedding and then I keep forgetting to mail it. Now, I have a purpose.

2) Treacle sponge pudding!!

I'll have to try the sponge pudding. I know my aunt makes trifle, I think it might be similar. if it is, yum!
