I know what you mean about the snow thing.
The network weather people (and the paper) trump up every snowfall into some sort of major issue. And since most people are so gullible/so easily influenced, they freak out.

Sheesh people, so it snowed. Big deal.
Yeah, it makes it a little tougher to drive for a few hours before they get the main roads cleared. It happens every year, learn to deal with it.

I have lived in this state for a bit over 35 years. I love the unpredictable way snow falls. I love to drive in it - it is almost like you are the first tracks out there and you are forging your own way to work. That has to come from my great grandmother who came across the prarie from Pennsylvania to Iowa on a covered wagon. Lord she was tough as were my great aunties that drove a 1969 nova without power steering, power breaks or power anything. :) How have you been? It has been a while!!!!

I know how that is. I read a lot so I end up with a book in my hand all day or all night. I feel sort of bad that I am not like other people who enjoy going out and getting wasted....I grew up. My husband has too, but he still goes and has a drink or two and plays Rock Band. I gotta get that for him for his birthday!

Yes and no. He attends the class with the other 4 students, but everything he does is adaptive. Some days are very good and others are not. He did not blow up on me once. His paraeducator was stunned that he makes eye contact with me all the time and even touches me a lot. We figure he has a crush on me. I treat him very much like I treat the rest of the class. He is a good kid - his paraeducator sometimes has to simplify things so he has time to process it all. He has a beanbag that he sits on when things start to be too much. Everyone knows to let him cool off.
