Anybody that knows me knows of the eternal struggle between MS and crappy Neurologists. I got my new one last week. She is a woman (duh! like the she did not give that away!) and she spotted where I was having pain the most and also the spacisity -- cool I am a spaz! She is very pretty - either from Trinadad Tobago or she is a Hinu. She spotted my ( Read more... )

Good news about that neurologist! :)

You might want a wheelchair for Disney World. I hear people in wheelchairs and people with them get automatic front of the line priviledges.

It has been a few years since I was there last. I am considering a segway! God, it would be so cool if my insurance would opt for one for me ;) They tend to not want to be prepared. I am going to have a fight on my hands to get a medic-alert bracelet covered. I just know it.

i didn't like my neuro until i got a woman, either! actually, i liked my first one ok, but he gave up on me. the next couple were awful. the woman is awesome!

i took a wheelchair when we went to vegas/grand canyon. i didn't even use it, except in the airport, and that's only because it felt dumb to push an empty chair. i had to sit down a lot, but it just seemed hard to get around with the chair.

in skymall (man i love skymall) they had these canes that have a little thing that folds down and it's a chair! i'd be more likely to take that next time i go on a walking-intensive vacation.

i don't think it's giving up to take one, just like you said, i think it's being prepared!

From what it sounds like, three other people we are going with for one reason or another are opting to do the same...mos had bad bunyan, hip replacement or ankle surgeries. Suddenly, I felt like it was okay to be prepared.

I loved my first neuro too. He now only does nerve testing...hello malpractice suits! I hated this guy. He prescribed a drug for my shaking that rendered my birth control null. What a schmuck! She is just too cool. Finally, someone told me that most MS patients have tired legs and consider canes at certain points. She thought that I looked and acted a lot better than my ct scans showed.
