Name: Ciel Phantomhive
Age: 13 years old
Canon Point: I'm taking Ciel from the chapter 53 of the current manga. Its mostly action where I'll be taking him from. Having been sent to investigate claims of a Doctor that can bring people back from the dead, Ciel and his butler are on board a cruise ship, under the disguise of members of an organisation named phoenix. Basically, there are zombies everywhere, Sebastian is left fighting a Shinigami and Ciel runs off down the lower decks, bumps into miss Lizzy and Snake, who is tending to his snakes. The chapter ends with a bunch of coffins all marked with the Phoenix logos on them, rattling as if more zombies are going to show up.

Personality: Ciel's personality is somewhat complicated, as it changes depending on those he is surrounded by. The boy comes across as a variety of things to a variety of people, though his most common personality traits are as follow:
Icy. This cold and hardened front you see is most likely due to the boys tragic past of having to deal with losing both his mother and father at a tender age of ten. Its far more easier for him to protect himself this way rather then let people get close enough to see his fears and weaknesses. Ciel believes (Or I should say 'makes himself believe') that he is fine on his own and needs no one (Other than Sebastian of course.) Ciel is Proud of himself and his heritage, which leads him to be some what of an elitist.
This is amplified through his contract with Sebastian, as the demon lives up to his name of one hell of a butler , his every task is executed with the up most perfection and style as Ciel will not be seen as being inferior to anyone. Because of such pride in his every doing, Ciel can come across as undermonstrating, lacking in letting his true emotions shine through to the surface. This makes others perceive Ciel as arrogant and benumbing. However, if it was not for the way in which he holds himself, Ciel would never be able to survive in the cruel side of noble life he treads for as long as he has done. In saying that, Ciel is in fact, extremely centred and focused.
Because Ciel had to condition his life to still flow comfortable and remain the head of The Phantomhive Estate without his parents, Ciel spends a lot of his thoughts on revenge, this can, in turn make him seem callous and insulting to his enemies and even in some cases his own servants. The young earl is seen to not enjoy having people talk to him, he even spends little time himself talking to his servants (Unless its Sebastian of course.) Though in contradiction to this fact, Ciel does take his servants out now and then on social trips, which he always gives off the impression he doesn't want to be there. Back to the fact of him not liking to be touched.
Ciel sees everyone (including himself ) as some kind of piece on a chess bored. Himself of course the King and Sebastian his Knight, but this leaves everyone else to be nothing more than a pawn, inferior pieces to himself and all are expandable and replaceable in Ciel's eyes. If a few pawns need to be sacrificed to get to where Ciel needs? ... then so be it.
On the contrary to all of this, Ciel does try to, now and then, portray himself as an engaging and happy young man to those he can and can not use directly. Such as possible business partners, other figures of nobility and the public at social events. He will in this circumstance, smile, be seen to be easy going and even energetic. Ciel despite himself, actually cares a lot about his butler, 'Sebastian' the demon in which he is contracted to, to a certain degree anyway's. Sebastian is all he has left, he regards the demon as almost a kind of family. This shines through when Sebastian is wounded and appears to be badly hurt.
Ciel becomes fast upset and shocked that something has happened to his butler, even to the point where he is upset enough to allow his true colours to shine though, resulting in him yelling at the demon, stating that Sebastian promised never to leave his side. this is probably Ciel's biggest fear, to be alone. Under all the portrays he shows himself to people as, when it comes right down to the core of it, Ciel is just a scared and lonely boy.
His childish side does show more with regards to himself and Sebastian's private interactions, such as demanding the butler make a meal (curry in fact) as perfect as he could, better then any other! yet gives the butler a multitude of other tasks to do, in hope that Sebastian will fail somewhere along the process. He also likes to test Sebastian by throwing darts at the butler when his back is turned, watching to see how sharp his reflexes are and such.
Skills/Abilities: Ciel's most noticed ability is that he is, without fail, an expert, no, genius in the game of chess. He uses the strategic way in which to place all the pieces of the game, in his daily life, showing the ability to see people as nothing but pawns on his bored, he of course is the King and Sebastian his black Knight. The boy also has on of the strongest displays of will power and confidence out of all other children his age (and some adults too!)
Multitasking is a massive part of his abilities too as he is able to remain the head of the Funtom Company, his parents toy and candy store business as well as manage the Phantomhive estate oh and did I mention he's an awesome spy and detective too? Yes, he is also the 'Queens Watchdog' A dirty job really, means he is to investigate issues brought up by her majesty, the Queen Victoria. Ciel is also a great shot with a gun too. His intelligence is remarkable for his age at problem solving and understanding complicated situations.
Also, its important to add, that Ciel has the ability to summon his demonic butler to his side, whenever he needs him, through simply calling his name and removing/touching the eye patch his seal mark is one. Ciel can make the demon do anything he wishes, so long as it is stated an order. This can range from the petty, such as; tie my shoelaces. to- kill him.
Limitations are: Ciel suffers from astham so of course, he's not as active as a healthy boy his age. This ailment can be flared up by another of his weaknesses, he's allergic to felines. The boy is small and petite, he was kept indoors for a lot of his infancy and so is seen to be frail too. An important weakness, one I find to be his most pressing, is that Ciel is afraid to be alone and of failure, to be left behind and crumble to show that he really is just a scared boy struggling not to break down.
First Person Sample: In the format of a video post.
[The camera cuts on and after a few moments of bumbling around, a pair of young knees come into focus zooming in on them before the boy picks it up and placed it upon a table.]
Alright, just a few things to start off with. First of all I'm outraged and find it truly reprehensible that there has been no welcoming committee dispatched to greet me, I can not even start to fathom what must be going through your minds. Really now, what is so pressing that someone of my stature is left to find a way to their lodgings unattended? I would like to meet with the mayor and submit an official complaint.
[The young man looks oh so arrogant and seriously vexed, see the way his head is tilted upwards at the angle? and that snort? Oh such annoyance.]
Secondly this is regarding my butler. Sebastian where the devil are you? You cat loving moron! I've been left out here with these common pigs for far too long!
[Someone should have really made that into a private message huh? Shame Sebastian normally takes care of all the letter writing and message sending huh?]
Oh and before I forget. I'd like to reach out a hand, to anyone else who's currently found themselves in my predicament, with regards to the actuality of possibly finding a was out of this Godforsaken place. I've tried to concur it alone, all to no avail it seems, as I must be going around on myslef in a loop? I'm not sure if anyone else knows, perhaps there is a ferry on and off the Island? If this even is an island...Either way, please, if you have any knowledge of the areas maps or land marks, I'd welcome you input graciously.
Third Person Sample:
Crepusular light illuminated the grand room to its every nook and cranny, a kind of burnt orange tinge to it. As it shone through the window, marking the end of day and overture of night, casting monumental crosses over the rich claret carpeted floor in silhouettes so thick and dark that they brought with them and ominous presence. Ciel sat there alone in this dimly lit room, an elbow to the fine polished finish of his writing desk, fingers balled into a fist and pressed gently the back of coiled digits against his blanched jaw. His complexion was truly more cadaverous in such poor quality light. A gleaming beam of lithium reflected from the dainty little pastry fork he was holding, into that one obsidian ultramarine eye of his, the right one still covered up with his soft eye patch.
The prongs of said fork were half lanced into a rather sweet, yet light looking cake. The syrup was thick, some kind of honey glaze perhaps and a congestion of rich cream oozed out to spill from the sides of the three tiered cake slice. Ciel raised his fork to his lips, taking the most polite and petite bite from the pointed end of it. Chewing respectfully before setting the rest of his sweet down and pushing the plate aside. Sebastian would be bringing his wash basin and towels soon, so that he could freshen up before calling it a night and clambering into bed. It was a silent night, those Owl's that had kept the young earl awake until the early hours of the morning had vacated the gardens finally, so it would seem, not even Plu plu was howling, Finnian was taking care of that Devil Dog well he supposed.
All in all, it was a normal evening, the servants were finishing off making preparations for the new day and making their way to their dorms. Ciel pulled the pocket watch from his side pocket, thumb pressing open the flip that popped the lid free, displaying the clock face. It was almost eight o'clock and that sun had almost vanished behind the hills, the young Phantomhive master was plotting in that head of his. No sooner had Ciel lent back against the high and plush back of his study chair, he was disturbed by a rapping upon his chamber door. Spot on time as always, his butler, punctual. There was no need to respond with a command to enter as Sebastian knew what was expected of him. That door opened and in walked the demonic butler. Ciel noticed how vermilion eyes seemed to burn in the passing over of day to nights fading light as well as the smirk on Sebastian's face.
"I trust you have everything ready for tomorrows recreations ready, Sebastian?"
