Usually I take criticism quite well. I love to improve myself, I know it helps me a lot. It changes me in a good way

Yeah, my Mom can be too critical sometimes too. But, I don't think your Mom hates you, she probably just has this idea of what she wishes she herself was and wants to save you from regret or wishing the same thing.
Well, I don't actually know her so I can't really say but, that's usually the case :)
