1) a. Can seal-type faux fur work for a full body, or would I be better off with longer-pile fur ( ... )

1) a. I think I'm leaning towards longer-pile fur. I simply like the look better! If I were to go for the seal fur, what "key places" were you thinking of for long-pile fur?

1) b. Needle felting is indeed crazy, and intriguing! Temperence also suggested stretchy microsuede, I'll have to look into both. I'm just really fond of the suede texture, and I'm having a hard time letting go of some of my ideas. =P

2) Cost effective is important. I really liked the Wonderflex plastic tha was recommended to me in fursuit, but it would get pricey. I may do some pricing for everything else first and see what I can fit in my budget as far as the bill goes ( ... )

1)a. I'd say on the shoulders/down the back, and maybe lower arms and legs. I agree with you though, longer pile is likely to look better.

4) Yes and no. It's not super expensive, but it would cost a little more than say...sewing a claw shape and stuffing it. A small thing of latex and a small think of plaster can run $35 or so. Likely less for you as I have to pay shipping from Florida!

5) Draw, design, play. I've never made one like this before...but I imagine that there wouldn't be much to it other than making the torso longer and the legs shorter. I wouldn't stuff it.
