The Richmond Legacy: Generation 3, Chapter 4
Hello everyone! I'm back! Just a little later than I'd hoped, but the chapter is finally coming out! And it's guaranteed not to erase this time, so that worry is already gone. Phew! I already like this better.
Well, don't let my rambling bother you any longer! Read on and enjoy!
If you haven't read the introduction to the Marvin family, please do so before reading this chapter! You can only find the intro on the LiveJournal site, and the first picture looks like the one above.
Along with the Marvins, another new family moved into Sunset Valley: The Curtises! They have two teenaged girls, Brynn (shown here), and
Lacey! I created their parents in CAS and just used 'create a child' to make these two. They have had no genetic tweaking of any of their features, and they are both lovely! As you can see, Seth and Travis have headed over to the Curtis' rather dark home to introduce themselves :)
Due to his flirty nature, Seth has no problem getting to know Brynn. I can already tell they are going to like each other a lot!
Travis on the other hand, seems to be pretty shy!
Don't worry, Travvy, I know she will love you!
Travis: "I thought I told you not to call me that!"
It wouldn't be any kind of legacy without a few birthdays! Today, we celebrate the twins' entry into their teenage years. Hard to believe we'll soon have five teenage boys roaming the house. I'm sooo excited :/
Up first, as usual, is Tony! You excited?
Tony: "Not really....." *glares* "I... I mean yes! I can't wait!" Much better.
The whole family crowded into the kitchen to cheer for the boys.
Travis: "Hurry up, I'm staaarving! Get me some cake!"
Tony: "Oh boy... I'm not sure I like this..."
Seth: "You show those sparkles, bro!"
Tony: "Please, please get me out of this sweater."
Done! Just wait til after Cole's turn.
Tony: "Only if you don't take any more pictures of me in this hideous outfit."
LOL. Okay.
Cole: "EW, guys! Get a room for Pete's sake! I'm trying to have my birthday here!"
Cole: "MUAHAHAHAH! This cake will finally be miiiiine!"
Well then...
Cole: "Sheww!"
Cole: "Here come the sparklezzz!!"
Travis: "I'm so tireddd! Hurry up dude!"
Bo: "Woo! Tooot! I'm so excited!!!!!"
Cole: "BAYUM! Who's sexy?! I am!"
Liza: "Ew... he's got an attitude."
Tony: "I thought you wouldn't take any more pictures of me! Hide me Mom!!"

I think he really looks a lot like his mom, besides his black hair (which I'm still not sure where he got that from)! I hardly see any Chase in him at all. Except the nose. They always get the nose.
Cole Richmond
Traits: Artistic, Heavy Sleeper, Evil, and now Vegetarian.
LTW: Master of the Arts
Cole on the other hand, takes after his father much more! Aside from the red hair, that is. For example, Cole might be the only kid who DOESN'T have his mother's eye shape. Interesting...
The next morning is Hope's birthday! Chase looks excited...
Chase: "What? My baby girl is growing up, and I'll be all alone during the day again..."
You're saying you'll miss having babies around to distract you from your work?
Chase: "Well. Not exactly. I mean... Okay, fine, yes that's what I'm saying."
Well, at least try to look happy, for your only daughter's sake?
Chase: "Here, how's this?"
You just look like you're in pain...

..............
And it's... a boy?? What kind of hair is THAT?! Let's get a closer look...
Hope: "What?? I just wanna be like my big brothers..."
Haha... Not happening. I've dealt with five boys, and you're the only girl... You better look like one!
Much better! (And just a side note, you can already see that she'll have her mom's eyes too!)
Hope Richmond
Traits: Brave, Artistic, and now Clumsy. Funny, Chase's clumsiness started showing itself in childhood as well.
LTW: Undecided
Now that Hope was old enough to move out of the nursery, she got the spare bedroom on the third floor (built just for her) decorated to fit her tastes. Here's one view of the left-hand side of the room, from the point of the doorway...
And here's a shot from above the bed. The leftmost door leads to the bathroom, the right one to the hallway. The room is small, but sweet.
Lately Seth has taken more interest in playing guitar. His virtuoso trait combined with xylophone playing during toddlerhood has set him up to improve quickly!
I caught Hope and Chase painting together as the sun was setting that evening. It struck me as adorable when I noticed they were both painting houses.
Hope: "Does mine look good Daddy?"
Chase: "Oh, definitely, sweetheart! You're going to be a fabulous artist in no time. Just remember never to give up! I used to be just like you, only I had four big sisters. They were all excellent artists, and I always felt like I could never be as good as them. But I kept going anyway, and look where I am now."
Hope: "Wow Daddy, that's amazing! I wanna be just like you when I grow up."
Hope: "It's finished Daddy!"
Chase: "Great job Sugar! It looks great."
(I think "Sugar" is an adorable nickname for a dad to call his daughter :] )
Oh, don't stop! I was enjoying your playing.
Seth: "Um... guess what?"
What?
Seth: "It's ma birthday! Woo!"
WHAT?! I forgot Seth's young-adult birthday?!?!?! I am a horrible creator! Sorry buddy :(
Seth: "It's all good. Mostly."

Seth: "Oh boy... I'm not so sure I'm ready for this!"
Don't worry, you'll be fine. Everyone survives it.
Bo: "Tooot! Go big brother!!"
Seth: "He-ey... Look out ladies!"

I definitely see both of his parents in him. He has the same face shape that Joey had. His nose is like his father's, also, but he has his mom's eyes and possibly his great-grandmother Dorothy's mouth! What a sweetheart.
The ghosts of this family have some major kind of glitch. It's really frustrating. Dorothy here is perfectly normal, but Charlie, Joey, and Melanie stick around 24/7, never disappearing when the sun rises. Somehow Melanie has managed to get out of the enclosure, and Joey has completely disappeared from the property - I can't find him anywhere. >:(
Cole: "I can't believe I'm even related to a kid who dreams about llamas."
You know, you're not too normal yourself. :P
*Gasp* I loooove this picture!!! Twins make for such great "Kodak moments". I wish these two looked more alike.
Seth: "Okay, it is 7:13 and I am in the shower and rolling. As long as I'm out by 7:31 I'll be able to grab a bowl of cereal before catching the bus at approximately--"
Hey Seth?
Seth: "Not now. I gotta quick finish showering otherwise I can't get breakfast in time--"
No. Seth. Listen to me. You don't have to go to school. You're an adult now.
Seth: "That's RIGHT! You're a lifesaver!"
Five minutes later, Seth is back in bed and ready to sleep til 10:00.
Chase: "Just me and the griddle today... I'm flipping pancakes for one..."
Actually, Seth's home. He grew up, remember?
Chase: "That's RIGHT! You just made my day!"
Yes, I do that. You're welcome :)
Chase: "Well, son, how's life for you?"
Seth: "It's great, Dad. I'm waiting for Brynn to grow up so I can ask her to marry me."
Chase: *chokes* "Already? Aren't you a little... young?"
Seth: "I've known her for years! I know I'm ready. Are you saying you want me to stay at home Dad?"
Chase: "Heh... Well..."
Seth: "It's not like I won't visit. Besides, don't you want some grandchildren?"
Awww :) I knew Seth would turn out well.
Liza: "Hey voice lady, guess what! I'm the Department Head! That's level 5! Halfway there!"
Great job my dear! You're halfway to your LTW!
Speaking of working towards LTWs - Chase has mastered the painting skill!!!!! Wooo!!!
That evening Travis invites Lacey over. She looks pretty excited to be there.
Travis: "You know Lacey, you're very pretty..."
Lacey: "You're not so bad yourself, Trav."
They are adorable together :3
Hope: "Goodie! I get to eat pancakes for dinner!"
Ah, children, so easy to please.
The weekend finally arrived. Seth had been waiting for this, since Brynn was still in high school and didn't have a lot of spare time during the week. He dialed her number first thing on Saturday morning.
Seth: "Okay... She's on her way over. Wait... What do I say to her? What do I do?!"
Start by getting dressed. ;)
Soon enough Brynn arrived. Seth could feel his heart pounding as he watched her walk inside.
Before anything else could be done, Brynn had to have her birthday! Seth was anxious to start his new life with her, but technically they weren't even dating yet. He had a ways to go before he could marry her and move out on his own.
She grew up as gorgeous as ever, although her mother's strange hairstyle wasn't working out so well for her...
She tried to be friendly by chatting with three of Seth's siblings over their cake.
Brynn: "I really like your guys' house you know! It's so light and pretty compared to my house."
But she was met with awkward silence on all ends.
Tony: *chewing* "Nom nom nom... Caaaaaake..."
But none of that mattered once the dishes were cleared... Seth and Brynn shared their very first kiss! Aww <3
And their relationship was sealed more officially.
They took their passion to the bedroom... *cough* guys! You're not married just yet!
Seth: "Um... leave please?"
I don't need asking twice! :P
Aww, Tony, what a sweet little drawing!
Tony: "This is dedicated to next generation, when we may be able to have multi-gender twins for the first time!"
Ooh! I like the sound of that! I'll hang it in the nursery for good luck when you're done.
Hey there Cole... How's it goin'?
Cole: "Shhh! I'm sneaking up on Bo! Don't give it away."
Oh okay - hey wait a second!
Cole: "He'll never know what hit him >:)"
Cole: "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Bo: "Oh my stars!!"
Bo: "My heart is all aflutter!"
Cole: "Heh heh heh..."
Chase's painting certificate has added to the numerous skill certificates that the family has earned! Pretty soon we'll be out of room on the playroom walls!
I realized that with the house as full as it was, Seth was unable to propose to Brynn until he moved out. So that morning, he waved goodbye to his house for the last time and headed out to find new adventures on his own.
And look at the house he scored! Wow! There'll be plenty of room to raise a family in this mansion.
The odd thing was that the house looked as though it had been recently occupied. There was a half-finished meal that had been left in the middle of cooking in the kitchen,
and an unmade bed on the third floor. Strange...
Seth wasted no time in inviting Brynn over and asking the only question that had been on his mind for days.
Seth: "Brynn Curtis, I have loved you since we met in high school. I've always known I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I'm not the heir, but will you marry me so that my parents can have some grandchildren before they die?"
How romantic! Mostly... :P
Brynn: "Oh Seth... I love you so much! Of course I will marry you."
Seth: "I love you too."
Aren't their faces very realistic? They truly look happy :)
They were married right away, without messing with a ceremony involving the family. I don't like to be away from the Richmonds too long anyway, but I felt this was important enough to leave for one night. It was very weird having only one Sim in the household for a while!

TRAITS: Good, Hopeless Romantic, Family-Oriented, Childish (to keep things interesting), and finally, what she must have rolled at her adult birthday, Kleptomaniac! Somehow I doubt she'll be invited to visit very much with that last trait :P

I returned to the Richmond residence to find this random old man standing in the foyer.
Wait.
This is Chase.
OMG I MISSED CHASE'S ELDER BIRTHDAY?!?! Wow I really suck at this don't I!!! Ugh! I'm sorry Chase!
Chase: "... It's alright..."

I'm not ready to give up on Chase's youth just yet. I mean, his daughter is still a child! His restored brown hair helps a little, but this legacy's old men are notoriously wrinkly :\
Hey there Hope... What's wrong?
Hope: "Just... Kinda worried. Daddy's so old now."
I know sweetie. But he's only, what 75? He's still got a lot of days left in him.
I sent Liza to give her baby a hug because I felt sorry for the poor girl.
Liza: "Oh Hopey, don't you worry, Mommy and Daddy will never leave you."
Don't lie to her Liza. One day you will die.
Liza: "Yes, but we'll become ghosts, right? And we'll be kept on the property."
True, true. That does make it a little better.
I returned my attention to the entrance hall (where I'd noticed Lacey before) just in time to capture Travis's first kiss! How adorable <3
Travis: "Hey, Lacey, I really like you a lot. Do you think you'd consider being my girlfriend?"
Lacey: "Just kiss me already!"
Travis: "Is that a yes?"
See what I mean about the ghosts? Even for a ghostie, that's just not right, Mel. :\
Melanie: "I just can't MOVE!"
Cole brought a friend home from school, and guess who it is! Why, it's Phoebe Marvin! I timed their moving-in so that the Marvin twins would age at the exact same time as my Richmond twinnies. So this is Phoebe as a teenager! :D how beautiful! She realllly needs a new outfit though :\
Also here is Lacey, showing up for the first time in the everyday clothes I assigned her! Weird, I don't remember making her insane, yet I've never seen her wear these clothes before.
And this is Caroline Marvin, who's also become a teenager (gorgeous as well!) along with two of Chase's older sisters - I can't tell which ones, since they've all aged with Melanie's hair. Let's just say this is Clare and the one behind her is Hayla.
Next to arrive are Brynn, the other triplet (let's say it's Holly then), and Chase's oldest sister Britta!
Holly's older daughter Sommer shows up too.
Seth comes of course, along with some random fat old man...
And that is definitely a baby bump I spy on Brynn's belly!!!!! Here comes Generation 4!
Why are all these people here, you ask?
Well...
For Travis's young-adult birthday, of course! I felt bad about missing Seth's AND Chase's birthdays, so I threw Travis a pretty big party. Plus it felt like the whole family hadn't been over in ages.
Lacey was front-and-center to cheer on her wonderful boyfriend.
Travis: "Hmm... I wish for Lacey to grow up and for her to want to marry me!"
I can guarantee it, sweetheart.
Travis: "Awesome! Then bring on the sparkles!"
Travis: "Heck ya!! Except I look too much like Dad...."
I can fix that don't worry.
Travis: "Phew!"
I had decided to kill two birds with one stone, so Lacey stepped up to the cake next.
She was just as gorgeous as I knew she'd be! Except I can't wait til she moves in so I can change that darn haircut!! >.<

Travis quickly got a job at the Science Facility, where his dead grandpa Joey used to work :')
I soon realized that this was not the best decision, however, as Lacey had a part-time job that started at 3:00, half an hour after Travis got home from work. They'd barely have any time to see each other :\
Oh well, there's always the weekend.
With five older brothers around to make trouble, sometimes Hope got forgotten and would be out way past curfew, or would miss the school bus. Luckily she had her trusty bicycle to get her where she needed to go.
When Caroline called Tony on the phone one morning, I was surprised but pleased. I'd always imagined it would be cute if Cole married Phoebe and his twin Tony married her twin Julia, but Caroline works for me too!
While waiting for the kids to get out of school one afternoon, I was looking around the park when I suddenly spotted this - Joey's ghost having a picnic in the middle of town! How he got out here is a mystery to me... And I don't know how to get him back since he won't disappear during the day anymore! Ugh.
Liza: "So guess what? I'm the Vice President of the company now."
WOW!! What is that, level 9?
Liza: "Um, no... 7."
Weird. So after you're promoted to president, how much higher can you go?
Liza: "Like I know."
Yeah, you only work there... *sarcasm*
LOL. I find it very funny to see Travis, huge and buff and manly, striking such a girly pose as he waters the lettuce. Not to be sexist or anything - guys tended the family garden for two generations until Liza came along! It just looks funny xD
Wow... Three missed birthdays in a row. I suck. Well, it's Liza's elder birthday!!
Liza: "I'm not ready for this!!!"
Don't worry, you'll still be beautiful. Probably.
Liza: "Hey, not bad!"
Yeah........ to the mirror!
That's a little better. I kept her red hair color, at least for now. Poor Hope has such old parents :(
Well that's all for now! And yep, that's right - I got World Adventures!!! So tune in next chapter (or maybe the chapter after that, I'm not entirely sure yet) for plenty of vacationing adventures, along with weddings, new boyfriends/girlfriends, a zillion birthdays, and maybe even a chosen heir(ess)!!! I know you can't wait! Neither can I!! :D
