The Richmond Legacy: Generation 4, Chapter 6

Feb 23, 2010 17:37

Hellooo everyone! It has definitely been way too long! Sad thing about high school is you don't have much time for anything outside of school, homework, and a social life.... At least where I go to school. I am just thankful for the block system.... I'd be literally screwed without it. Actually, that's probably the wrong choice of words. xD But ANYWAY! Let's get on with the chapter.

The Richmond Legacy: Generation 4, Chapter 6

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh and by the way - I'm really proud of the title page this time :) Photoshop is my new friend :D

I can't get over the auto water function on the sprinklers! Although this generation is pretty lacking in the gardening department, especially compared to superwoman Liza, who managed somehow to tend the garden, become CEO of a Megacorporation, oh AND raise six kids. Hope is a bit lazier.

Rayleigh: "I totally hate school. Especially those blackboards. Who are they kidding - they're green. Sheesh."

Brooklyn: "I know exactly what Rayleigh's saying. See? Playing with this rocket ship is SOO totally cooler than doing homework."

I really admire the way Jay gets involved with the twins. It just wouldn't be feasible to expect Hope to do all the work, not when there are two of them, and Jay has really stepped up.

Rayleigh went over to a friend's house after school.... He seems to be sadly lacking in the "throwing skills" department.

Then again, Ray doesn't do much better.

That's when I noticed that Rayleigh's friend had moved into a house I built based off my own house. This is actually scary to me... I feel like I'm looking at my living room. :O

And here's my computer desk! Here's where it all comes together ;)
I would give you a tour of the rest of the house (I'm really proud of it, I showed my parents and they were like... WHOA...) but somehow it feels kind of creepy.

Annette: "I'm sooo confused. What's algebra?"
Billy: " 'Sup little sis."
Brooklyn: "Did he really just say that to me?"

Brooklyn: "Just pretend that didn't happen...."
Billy: "Well fine then."

Meanwhile....
Hope: "F***ing KIDS!"

Hope: "I frigging HATE cleaning out the toilets!!!!!!!!!!"
-- Jeez, woman, get your daughter to do it then! She's Neat after all.
Hope: "That, my dear voice, would be a horrible example of mothering. God. I'd be such an abusive parent."
-- Oh, well excu-u-use me, I didn't know you were above such things. I guess I abuse Annette all the time.

Hope: "So Jay... I really think I should tell you something."

Jay: "What is it honey?"

Hope: "Look. I guess... A little while before the little twins were born, I was kind of mad at you. I guess I felt like you were never around and you didn't love me as much anymore. So...... I kind of.... Well, I cheated on you. The little twins aren't yours."

Jay: "Oh, I know."
Hope: "What?!"
Jay: "Yeah. I mean, it was pretty obvious."
Hope: "So you're not mad?"
Jay: "Well, I was. But I could tell after the twins were born that you'd learned your lesson."

Jay: "Am I right?"
Hope: "I'd take it back in an instant. Jay, I should have realized you're the only one I'll ever truly love. You're the only one I want to be with."
Jay: "You're the only one for me, honey."

Awww <3 Jay definitely complements Hope's hot-headed nature. :)

Soon enough it was the little twins' birthday.

Hope: "FINALLY! I'll be rid of freaking toddlers!"

Julianna: "Yays! I gets ta be a bwig giwl now!"

Julianna: "Hehehe!"

Julianna: "Ta-daaa! How do I look?"
-- We'll see... After your sister goes >:)
Juli rolled Computer Whiz.

Hope: "That's right Sydney.... Watch your toddler years come to an end... Sweet relief..."

Sydney: "Hehe! Mommy fwunny!"

Sydney: "Hi-yaaah!"

Sydney: "How do I look?"
-- I really hope that nose is a temporary thing. And let's put some pants on you.
Sydney rolled Good Sense of Humor.

Hope: "Oh easel, how I have missed you."
Hope hasn't really painted since before the bigger twins were born. Twins take a lot more work :/

-- Annette.... Are you giving your half-sister birthday congratulations?
Annette: "Yeah, well... I might not be happy with Mom, but she IS my sister."
Annette has always looked out for her little siblings, but I always thought she disliked the little twins because of what they represented.

All right, all right, we can see their makeovers now :)

Julianna Richmond
Traits: Artistic, Light Sleeper, Computer Whiz
LTW: Undecided
Color: Blue

Sydney Richmond
Traits: Artistic, Easily Impressed, Good Sense of Humor
LTW: Undecided
Color: Yellow

I don't have a good look at Tad's genes, so I'm not sure who they look more like. One thing's for sure, they are very different from one another.

Brooklyn: "So I totally love the color BROWN! It rules!"
Looks like I managed to match the color of her dress very well with her favorite :)

-- Really? You're telling her a story about 'brown'?
Brooklyn: "What? She's interested!"
-- OR she's pretending to be 'cause she feels sorry for you...
Brooklyn: "I'm friendly! I know how to talk to people!"
-- Yeah yeah.

Muahahaha! I figured out the cheat to stock ponds! Now my Sims can finally get stuff from fishing in their own backyard!

-- Awwww Billy did you make dinner for the family?
Billy: "Just mac & cheese..."
-- They are going to love it though :)

Billy: "Aw, gee."
-- Hmm...
Billy: "What?"
-- How would you feel about going to China?"
Billy: "Me?"
-- Yeah! You and Annette. Like, a teenage sibling vacation?
Billy: "AWESOME!"

-- Hey Annette.
Annette: "Yeah what? Kinda busy."
-- Want to go to China with your brother?
Annette: "DO I?!?! Can we really?? When?"
-- How about tonight? It's Friday after all.
Annette: "Hook me up!!!"

Julianna: "Whattt? No fair! I want to go!"
-- Sorry love. Not yet. Maybe you and Syd can go some other time. BUT, I do have a pretty nice surprise for you two today!
Julianna: "Oooh what??"
-- Your.... *drumroll please* new room!!!!

I used a CC bedroom set for these girls... I realized the princess bedroom set that Rayleigh and Brooklyn have, while I worked really hard on it, will soon be outgrown by the pair, so I tried to pick something more age-neutral this time. I personally LOVE it.

Everything is decorated with their favorite colors in mind.

They even have their own private study area.

Hope: "I can't believe you and Annette are going on vacation without me."

Billy: "You know Mom, you got to go to France when you were my age."

-- Yeah, besides, this is a legacy. I'm not spoiling you. I'm supposed to torment you more than I actually do.
Hope: "Yeah. True."

Billy: *shock* "Mom? Agreeing? With.... the voice?"
-- I know how you feel.
Hope: "Don't get used to it."

Billy called the airport as soon as he'd finished his dinner.
Hope: "This is so unfair."
Rayleigh: "Tell me about it."

Hope: "I am not pleased."

-- AHEM. You're in my shot!
Hope: "Yeah! Well YOU'RE purposefully making me jealous, I can tell!"

Billy: "Bah, she's just jealous."
-- And PMSing, if that even exists in Sims.
Billy: "Oh believe me, it does."
-- Nice eyes by the way :)

Although they'd left at close to midnight, it was 8 a.m. when Annette and Billy arrived at base camp in Shang Simla, China.

Since Annette was Disciplined, I figured she'd like going to the Martial Arts Academy. In fact, she liked it so much that before she'd even tried out the dummy, she rolled the LTW to achieve Physical Perfection, or to  master both Martial Arts and Athletic skills. I quickly accepted it for her.

Annette: "I will KILL this wooden dummy!"

Annette: "Ehh!"
-- Wow... high heels? Really?
Old man: "Impressive!" *sarcasm*

Old man: "When will these tourists learn?"
Annette: "Just ignore him. Ignore him and he'll leave."

Billy on the other hand, had been sent in search of metals in the countryside.

-- Hey look Billy! It's the Dragon Cave! You should go inside, and explore it!!!
Billy: "Nah, no time. Gotta find metals."

Billy: "OH here's one!"
-- Yes... riveting. Wouldn't exploring the Dragon Cave be a bit more exciting - ?
Billy: "Don't insult my adventure style! I enjoy this, FOR YOUR INFORMATION."

Annette: "Muahahahahaha! I have gained a skill level in Martial Arts!!"
-- Yes... now you're level one. Go you.
Annette: "What? At least I don't have to wear heels and short shorts while practicing anymore."

-- Fail.
Billy: "What?! WHY must you always criticize me?!?!"
-- Maybe it's because this time, you're attempting to excavate that pile of junk from a foot away."
Billy: "It's hard on a really steep hill, okay?"

Aww look, Annette didn't want to feel left out. Don't worry dear, you fail too.
Annette: "Shut UP, it hurrrrts!!!"
-- Yeah well, don't get hit in the face next time then.

Once Annette had gained another skill level, she asked this guy (whose name I did not write down) to spar with her.
-- You know Annette, it's usually common courtesy to shower before interacting with others -
Annette: "Focus. Focus. O-o-o-m-m-m-mmm!"

Annette: "Hi YA!"

Annette: "I'm pretending he's Tad Higginbotham!"

Annette: "I'm gonna kick you where it counts, Tad! Take that!"
Someone still has a lot of anger pent up inside.

Such a pretty picture :) China is my favorite so far. Although I haven't tried Egypt out yet.

Looks like bicycle is a popular way to travel around here. Annette, you fit right in!

Hmm... Salad with chopsticks. Interesting.
Annette: "It's fun, actually."
-- Will you please take a shower?

The dining room looked out on the dusky hillside and the beautiful waterfall that could be seen beyond. Annette stayed a while after she'd finished eating to look at the gorgeous scenery.

Then I made her shower.
Annette: "Can't a woman get a little privacy?!"
-- I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that you did, in fact, get your shower.

Next morning Annette cooked pancakes for herself and her brother.
-- You're so sweet!
Annette: "Yeah well, it's easier than cooking for eight. Besides, now I'll be off the hook next time you need someone to cook."
-- So you DID have an ulterior motive...

Then it was straight to the scholar's garden to practice on the board breaker thingy!
-- Good luck!
Annette: "What! It's a styrofoam board. I can totally take this."
She can't take it.

Or maybe she can!
Annette: "TOLD YOU. Good to know you have so much faith in me."
Is it me, or are there way more pictures of Annette in here than Billy?

All in all, Annette gained four martial arts skill points while in China.

The locals were not happy with her smell. xD Look at that lady's face! She's even fanning herself!

Billy: "Dude... you need to shower."
Annette: "I showered last night!"
Billy: "Yeah... Shower again."

Annette: "Can you believe tomorrow's already our last day here?"
Billy: "I know! Feels like we just got here yesterday."
-- That's because you did.

Annette: "I'm kind of excited to go home though. I miss Mom and Dad."
Billy: *Nom nom nom*

Annette: "And you complain that I have bad manners? Jeez, could you TAKE a bigger bite?"
Billy: "Sure!"

The next morning..... Billy is checking out the Dragon Cave! Ha!

Billy: "Ha! Treasure!"
-- Yeah, like $5 or something.
Billy: "Killjoy."

And just like that, the vacation was over. It seemed super short compared to Chase, Liza, and Hope's lengthy stay in France. Time flies with only two Sims in the household. I've forgotten how it feels to play a small family.

Well, that's all I have for this chapter. Hope you enjoyed it! The next chapter will (most likely *crosses fingers*) end with all the kids being teenagers, and we'll decide on the heir! Or start to. It should be out this weekend sometime :) Thanks for reading!
