As far as I can figure out, this was introduced in 2003 and only in the House. Doesn't it have to pass in both the House and the Senate to go through and become law? Or, maybe I'm missing something. But I think that we don't really have to worry too much about it right now.

I do not agree with this at all. Not one bit. Who ever wants to serve can serve but i dont think people who dont want to go off to the military should have to. some are in college trying to make something out of themselves and others would be losing loved ones... i do NOT agree with this at all
thats because noone who is an active member in voting on this would ever make this mandatory so that their own children would have to serve...remember that part in fahrenheit 911 where moore asks all those people if they would send their kids to war, and only one guy said yes? something similar to that...

Also I don't think the government would like to equip the BHS Class of 2004 with guns.
