Well my birth dad had a triple bypass yesterday and is now recovering! Recovery for him will probably be more scary than the surgery! He will have to make some serious changes in his life and I just hope and pray that he is strong enough to do that! I had a good talk with my older birth brother yesterday and he has had some health scares too, so

It is interesting isn't it, I have read of other adoptees having eating/food issues too. If it isn't food then it's something else, or some other kind of addiction! I really hope that your daughter doesn't struggle like that, and if she did I hope she was able to recover or work it out! It is a lonely, hurtful, self destructive disease! :(
You are doing the right thing by showing her how much you love her and want to be around her! I know that is all I ever wanted/want from my birth mom!!!! And you're right nothing can change the hurt for you or me, but we have the future to look forward to! You have your daughter now and I have my birth mom and healing will take place along the way...together!
