Q: What awesome guest was announced for No Fate Convention?
Um wow. Has it really been over three months since I last posted?! I have plenty of excuses, I assure you, but I'm going to assume that there's no one visiting my LJ anymore to tell these excuses to. On the off chance anyone does see this post, let me share the exciting news (in case, y'know, you didn't quite get it from the intro or anywhere else on the internets where it's been shouted out).

Ya, seriously!
As you know, I've been kinda busy with this con thing lo these recent months. I hope it's all worth it in the end because throwing myself this far into a fandom has kind of prevented me from enjoying any others. I'm not sure I would anyway, though. There are plenty of shows I'm currently watching and liking and a few I'm even loving, but still not a single one that grabs me the way The Sarah Connor Chronicles did. It remains my favorite show and planning a con for it is exciting, exhausting, exhilarating, frustrating, thrilling, stressful - you can't imagine the roller coaster ride. You just can't.
But here's the thing: I love TSCC and I love conventions. If I can have those two things combined, it'll be pretty fucking awesome. And I guess that's what this really comes down to. I want to stand in a ballroom full of fellow fans and see Thomas Dekker on stage, talking about playing John Connor - about the turbulent relationship with Sarah, about the confused feelings for Cameron, about taking a blind leap into the future. I want to hear stories about long days on set and the creative process that went into it all. I want to laugh. I want to be enthralled. I want to cry over how much I miss that show. And I want to share all that with those who've loved TSCC as much as I have.
I want to see everyone else from the show there too, of course, but it's one step at a time on this journey and this is Thomas Dekker day :)
