Mr. Roxy is back, and I slept like a baby! A drunk baby, even! *G* He was exhausted, poor thing. Didn't get in until 2:00. It's nice to have him back. It'll probably take a day or two before he gets on my nerves--let's be for real, ya'll. But good homecomings are good. ;D ( Read more... )

Yay! Welcome home, Mr. Roxy!!
*twirls you*

And HA, omg, re: words. When i was a kid, i had school mates ask me if i was from England, because I deliberately did *not* talk like I was from Missouri. My dad's from Massachusetts and my mom St. Louis, so neither of them had that back-country twang, and I didn't want it.

And frankly, the only way i remember how to spell 'conscience' is to pronounce it 'con-science'.

*smooches*

LOL! I know what you mean about not talking like where you're from. When my dad retired in Jersey, I was so aggressive about not picking up that accent. I thought the people sounded *horrible*!! And now I probably sound like I was born here. Yu'got no ideyah.

*gasp* Great tip, beloved!!

Heeee! I have slipped into a 'y'all' every now and again, but I strive to keep it away!!

Yes, i pronounce a number of words 'differently' when trying to spell them, so that i'll get it *right*. It's my own little trick. :)

YAAAYY!!! Mr. R is home!!! Glad you got to sleep good. :)

I try my best to pronounce words right, but there's slang that I just can get away with... like youns instead of you and nother instead of other. Local dialects can be fun. :D

omg, I know! I try to sound all newscastery but I hear New Jersey in my voice. Except for random weird words like ya'll and I don't know where that comes from, lol! I guess military dependents tend not to have strong accents because they travel too much--no one I went to school with had one, at least not for long.
