Nice throw back to first season Clark in the beginning--the adora-geek at the newsstand. And I can totally get why Clark wouldn't want to go there again. Clark understands that he's a reasonably attractive guy, and that some women like to look at him. He's grown into his body, and he's not all over the map anymore--and I say this looking at it strictly from Clark's POV. He had no idea he was attractive until Lois, I think. With Lana he was so incredibly grateful that someone he considered above his pay-grade wanted to be with him--pffft. Still, when he played Awkward!Clark, he played the hell out of it. And pointing at Thomas--Thomas, omg, that was *fantastic*!!! And not only did he manage to find a *phone booth* But he made that switch-a-roo look fresh! Ah,what the hell--Clark was amazing this whole ep!
Booster Gold, by the by, was the KING of assholes! What a wonderful job and a pleasure to watch!
Lois--such a busybody. Lois is all about the wanting to help but then kind of twisting it off-center. Of course, because she's Lois it always works out in the end. You know, that's one of the things that used to get on my damn nerves with Silver Age Lois too...
♥Things I took away from this ep: Clark seems to have a real understanding now what a hero is. What he told Booster Gold was exactly what he should have said--remember how we booed Bo Kent? Well...*koff*
He let Booster fix his own problem--good job that.
Clark can make the glasses look hot like fetish gear! Ha--big black GI frames just make me all pink-cheeked and a little sweaty...*blush* In fact, Thomas is scary sexy. God, give me a canteen, some rope and some baby oil and I'd scale that boy like a mountain....
♥Things that made me laugh but not 'cause they wanted me to: Scarab boy. HAHAHAHAAA!!! He looked like an outtake from a Saturday morning cartoon--a 1970s Saturday morning cartoon.
